OH MY GOSH! Jeff and Brandon are two of the most professional men. They show up on time. They do very good work. Their skills are exceptional beyond what you could imagine. They are now my go-to handymen. I will not hire anyone else. Amazing work.

After a bad experience with a "Handyman" from an ad in the local newspaper, I found Jeff on Angie's List with good recommendations so I called for some work I needed on the property. Jeff did an excellent job at a reasonable price! Since then, I have hired Jeff for three additional projects and he has become my "Go-to Handyman" and first choice for all projects big or small. He is a problem-solver with a wide range of skills and creative solutions so I would not hesitate to recommend him for any projects you may have in mind, large or small.

Jeff was on time. He was honest. He had his own equipment and worked so fast. He insisted I call with questions or concerns, which I did a time or two. Jeff did not "pull any punches," explaining what could happen as he restored this home from drab to classy (I live in the woods, the home is 30 yrs old). He added things I didn't ask for as he said, "My name is on it, I couldn't let this or that go!" Excellent job. I'm pleased beyond my expectations.

Jeff, finished squaring up the floor and installing the last piece of floor. at that time Jeff and his helper started installing the storage building kit. It took Jeff and his helper about 3 1/2 hours to finish the putting the building together. Jeff and hid helper did a excellent job.

We have a porch / deck that's elevated about 10 feet above the ground. One of the support columns was rotted (from water damage) and failing. Another cross-support beam had come loose and the nails had pulled out (this was built 25 to 30 years ago originally). The porch vibrated with any kind of walking - even my dogs walking across it caused it to shake a little. We concluded it had become too dangerous to use and sought help.
Jeff was contacted due to his good record on Angie's on a Saturday, while traveling. He asked that we connect on Sunday or Monday. We ended up talking on Monday evening, and I explained the situation. He traveled from Palestine, TX to Crockett and called me with an overview of his findings, and estimated it would probably cost $1,000 to $1,200 to replace the rotted column, several other marginal support members, and reinforce the deck (having not even seen the deck yet). We agreed to proceed and fix the deck.
About 3 days later, Jeff called and said it was fixed, and that he had jacked up the deck and move it back into place (it was 2 to 3 inches away from the house), replaced the failed column, several cross-beams and added more support. Over this past weekend, we went to the house and examined Jeff's work. As expected, the column was replaced with a new 4 x 6 treated-wood column, which is strapped to the cement porch underneath the deck, securing it nicely.
Four 2 x 6 cross members were replaced. The entire rail had been removed and replaced along one end (where the failed column was located), and the side support beam was replaced with treated wood. Several additional supports were added to prevent the side-to-side shaking that had been happening due to the original design. A new support beam was added next to the house, which runs the entire length of the deck. This new beam provides added support and a fail-safe where the deck connects to the house.
Everything was bolted and screwed down, so the deck is no longer reliant upon old, rusting nails for critical support.
Jeff indicated that he jumped up and down and the deck no longer moves at all and is very stable. I agree. The added supports and other improvements has resulted in a porch and deck that is more stable than it has probably even been, and is now safe for my family and friends to use. Jeff said it will probably last another 2 to 3 years - my guess is the frame and support may last another 10 to 15 years.
I am very satisfied with Jeff's work. Highly-recommended.

They were very curtious and responsive to my requests. They did a very good job on almost everything. When asked to improve something they had done, they responded quickly and satisfactorily. On one occasion they could have done a better job on cleanup. Overall they did a very good job on a variety of jobs and appear to be good at many types of jobs. I would be happy to use their services again. I would recommend them.

We recently put up a light fixture in our kitchen with him and he has done several jobs like that. He is very honest .When we work with him we tell him what we want to be done and he helps us decide things. If he doesn't think something is going to work he let's us know why and we can make our decision. He has done several light fixtures in the house at different times. His biggest project was when he built the deck. His prices have been very fair. Sometimes he is working on another job and he will have to call and says if he can come in the afternoon or morning, but he generally gets here when he says he is going to.
