Called last June 2012 to see if Walker Air Conditioning would come out and recharge our compressor because it was not cooling well and was losing Freon. One of their employees came out and ran their tester on it and recommend we needed to replace the compressor. I called my husband and had him speak to the service man and from there we had a new compressor installed. When they came to deliver the new unit, it was 2 times smaller than our old one. After getting the unit connected, we started noticing our house was not as cool as with the old compressor. We called them back and a different service person came out and recharged the unit. We still had problems with it cooling so we called the owner and he came out with another service hand. This is when the owner suggested cutting another whole in the ceiling to provide more ventilation. We refused to have another whole cut as we told this owner, we never had this issue with our old unit so why should we alter our ceilings for this unit? They ran test after test and even installed another thermostat to which we still noticed the unit still was not cooling as well. We had left another message the next day for them to come back out and we still have not heard a word from this company. I guess we will call our faithful Bosworth Company back out this year to clean Walkers mess up he left us.

approximately 6 weeks after we moved into our brand new house, our a/c went out. the original installers was Walker Air Conditioning, who came out to assess the problem. somehow without even test the condensing unit, they made the claim that a power surge/lightning strike melted the wires that supply power to the condenser at the bottom of the unit. something not covered under the standard warranty.
their estimate to fix it was over $4000!!!! baffled by this i decided to get a 2nd opinion from a local competitor who explained to me there is absolutely no way they can 100% guarantee it was a power surge that knocked it out without sending it to the manufacturer under warranty for further testing.
when i told Troy Walker, the owner, what i found out; he told me that he doesn't send stuff under warranty unless he's absolutely sure it will hold, in the event they void it, he's out the money for repairs. furious with his answer i contacted the home builder and the manufacturer in hopes they would resolve this and get the parts taken under warranty. the manufacturer told me there was nothing they could do, because they go off the original installers assessment. the home builder was not any help either.
3 days i went without air conditioning, and finally they come back to fix it, and end up just replacing the whole condensing unit because they couldn't get the parts in a timely manner. something the home builder and the installer agreed to do without filling me in! they also decided after the fact that they would send the entire unit in under warranty to get tested, and that i owed them $1600 for labor in the original estimate. and if the warranty is upheld they would refund my money under the state mandated new home builder labor laws
they told me it takes about a month to here back from the manufacturer. 6 weeks went buy and not a word. i called them and they gave me the run around they hadn't heard anything. i called the manufacturer and they were no help either. its been 3 months and not a word! at this point i've just accepted the fact i lost my money. and its not worth spending more fighting to get it back.
