I had a bad experience with them. I checked them out with the Better Business Bureau and there was nothing against them. However, once I filed a complaint, it turns out that the BBB has them listed under the corporate office in Dallas and there are a lot of complaints. I purchased a portable building them from a home show. I was guaranteed a date and that date came and went. I had my things in a storage unit and the contract date was coming to an end and I needed to get my things out of there. When I purchased the building the representative said, “Oh, we can definitely get it built by then.” I got all my things out of storage and put it in my carport. When I talked to them again, a couple days before they were supposed to start, they said they weren’t going to be able to get to it for a couple more weeks. I told them that was not good because they promised me a different date. They said a lot of things happened and they were busy and they were short-handed. My household items were partially exposed to the elements and they told me that wouldn’t happen. They then promised that my building would be there the next week. I never heard from them and the next week came and I called them to see where they were. He said they would come out the next morning. When they weren’t there I called him again. It was if he didn’t even remember having that conversation. He said that my building wasn’t even scheduled to be delivered until several days later. I called the corporate office and the lady said she would get right on it and have someone call me to tell me what’s going on. He called and repeated that the building would be there Friday. The corporate lady called and told me to call her again if the building wasn’t there by Friday morning. It wasn’t so I called her and I couldn’t get a response from her. He called me later that afternoon. I work hourly as a contractor and I had to keep going home to see if they were there and I had to keep putting my dogs in the house, based on what the corporate lady promised. Finally the local representative called and said someone would be there around 3:00. At 3:30 I got a call saying that their forklift had a flat tire and they were trying to fix it. It was a big run-around. They finally brought the building and they wouldn’t unload it until I gave them the final payment and signed that the building had been delivered. It was still in pieces and they wanted me to sign that it had been put together and anchored. I said, no, I wouldn’t sign that but I would sign that the materials were delivered. I went back to work and when I came back, all the materials were just lying in my backyard. Three or four more days went by and they showed up and half erected it. They said they would come back the next day but they didn’t come back until the next week to put it together. I noticed they didn’t put the anchors in. I called and told them they hadn’t done the anchors and the man argued with me. He finally said they would come by that afternoon when they finished with work. They didn’t show up so I called again. He said that they would eventually get there. They finally showed up when I wasn’t here and put the anchors in. One anchor is right in the doorway so you trip on it every time you come out of the building. They haven’t done anything to fix that. It has been a horrible, horrible, horrible experience. I found out that I could have gotten it 1/3 cheaper and I actually had a better quote from a company in Arkansas but the Morgan people convinced me that I needed to use a local company.
Description of Work: I used Morgan Buildings and Spas for a new building in May.
