A/C Services

1. Jeff arrived 15 minutes late for our 9 a.m. appointment. 2. He did everything my electrican had done the day before and then announced to me like it was new information to me,the EXACT information I had given HIM the day before from what my electrican had discovered. 3. He then told me that since the line was not producing enough voltage (WHICH HE ALREADY KNEW BEFORE HE CAME OUT), that he could not check the A/C unit out until the power company fixed the line. He then informed me I needed to call the power company, ALTHOUGH I TOLD HIM BOTH THE DAY BEFORE AND FIRST THING WHEN HE ARRIVED THAT THE POWER COMPANY WOULD BE OUT SOME TIME THAT DAY. I reiterated that information to him again. 4. He said he would be out again in the morning (26th) at 9 a.m. Having been here approximately 5 minutes, he left. So if he knew when I called him and told him the power line was very low voltage that he could not check out my unitl until the line was repaired by the power company, why did he schedule an appointment prior to it being fixed? The power company came out late that day, fixed the line, came back and checked it at the house to make sure all lines were producing correct voltage. I called Jeff immediately to let him know and we reconfirmed the 9 a.m. appointment for the following day, the 26th. 1. At 9:20 a.m. he calls me to tell me he's tied up on a job and he will be here shortly. 2. At 9:46 a.m. he calls me. From the background noises it sounds like he's at a gas station filling up. He tells me 'one of his workers' (of which I've always known him to be the owner & sole employee of his business) is having problems on a job and he has to go help him. He'll be here as soon as he helps 'this guy'. 3. At 11 a.m. I call him and ask him when is he going to be able to make our 9 o'clock appointment. He YELLS at me: "I TOLD you I'm having mechanical problems with my truck! I'll be there WHEN I CAN !". 4. A few minutes after 1 p.m. he calls and tells me he'll be here in 15 minutes. 5. At 1:40 p.m. I'm in the process of calling him to cancel our appt when he drives up. 6. In under 10 minutes he checks the power voltage again, checks the power in the A/C unit, swaps out two wires to put it in phase, checks the freon level, and says no damage was done to the unit. 7. He then charges me for TWO full service calls, even though a. the first time he came out he KNEW he couldn't do any thing until the line was repaired and b. he advertises free estimates, doubling my bill 8. Although he advertises senior discounts, and I'm both senior AND disabled, he gave me no discount on top of the double billing. 9, Although he accepts credit cards and I told him when I called the first time that I would be paying by card, he complained and wanted me to write him a check. 10. When I tried to address all these issues, he told me to call someone else next time. When I told him I would be posting here, he said "I don't give a crap!".
