We had our master bathroom renovated by this company in April 2019. Nine months later we noticed there was water damaged on the wall/baseboards in all the walls next to the shower. Since the work was still under warranty, we contacted Patsy to no avail. We stopped using the shower for months, and later on decided to do caulking around the curb, since Patsy did not honor the warranty. Luis did a horrible job with the drain, water proofing, caulking, etc., and there was a huge gap on the curb. Months later it was leaking again and we stopped using the shower again. After repeating this for about 3 times, we decided to hire another contractor to fix the shower. We waited this long (3 years) because we spent $9,600 on the shower alone and didn’t want to spend that much money again. We just got a shower rebuilt by a reputable company and the drain was poorly built, there was still a lot of water there after months of not using the shower. I feel defrauded by this company. I will never use them again and will not recommend them to anyone. I’m actually glad they didn’t honor the warranty, because I’m sure the work would still had been mediocre. Btw, they are not cheap. We paid $13,500 total, which included the shower, 2 sinks, counter tops, backsplash around the tub, quartz on the window sill, and a wooded skirt for the tub. The price did not include the hardware or the tile for the shower and backslash. And we paid another company for painting the cabinets, walls and replacing the lighting.

This was my first big home project and they guided me through the whole process with patience and expertise. They were quick and on time to look at bathroom then followed up very quickly with an itemized quote emailed to me. I loved being able to go to their brick and mortar store to pick out tile, etc. They are also great if you want to buy your own materials and they will just install. They really want to help you save money and get exactly what you want. I did a combination of buying some stuff myself and some from them. Very flexible and accommodating. Awesome!! Their tile crew and plumbers were always on time, very respectful and cleaned up their messes! I got four estimates total and they gave one of the best prices. I am very happy with the results!!

Everything went terrific. They were very prompt in arrival and in returning calls. If I had any questions or needed any advice, they were incredible helpful and quick to respond. In terms of price, I felt I got more than my monies worth! I got a few other bids and they were not only competitive but had the best price. The craftsmenship and quality of the work was terrific and I couldn't be any more happy with the finsihed results. Also I would like to say that the crew was very pleasant to have in my home, friendly and helpful.

What a terrible experience we had with Watson Tile. The job started out great. The company was very puntual and responsive to everything. After the tear out and install of our new tub and tile around the tub (which we liked very much), the guy doing our install messed up the floor. When I got home from work that night, my wife told me that it looked funny to her. I went to the door and looked and I could actually see hills and valleys in the floor. Of course they were closed by now, so I told my wife that I would call in the morning. I called first thing in the morning and told Patsy about the problem. She told me that she had just spoken to our installer and he was pulling up to our house about to grout. She got off the phone with me and called him back. He went in the house and told my wife that he had thought there might be a problem the day before. He was pulled off the job until an expert tile layer could be brought in....which took an entire week. After our floor was solved, the company sent out an electrician to move a fixture. The guy stayed in the bathroom most of the day. My wife got worried and scared and told me she thought there was something strange about the guy. I called Patsy and she sent a representative from Watson Tile to investigate. It turned out that the guy was drinking alcohol on the job and was stone drunk while he was rewiring our bathroom. He was fired from the company on the spot, but it took several more days to get another electrician back out and we were stuck with a large labor bill because of the damage the new guy had to fix. The job still wasn't complete and several days later my credit card showed up as being over the limit. I investigated and found that the company not only had charged me (without my authorization) for the entire job, but had double charged me. My $6000 remodel was suddenly $12,000. I couldn't get anyone from Watson Tile to call me back for a couple of days. When they did, Patsy explained that it was a computer error and she would work at refunding the money. This process took over a week!! Watson Tile finished the job a month after starting. However, their final job was to install a medicine cabinet. The installer left a hole in the drywall above the cabinet that was about 6 inches high and two feet wide. He explained that he couldn't fix this until later in the week, but we were leaving for vacation the next day. By this time, I was fed up to the point that I didn't want them back in my house. I finished the drywall myself! Now six months later, the grout above the tub and on the floor is cracking, the wainscoting is cracking, and my wife is ready to move. I would not use this company again under any circumstance. I briefly thought about contacting them when the grout started to crack, but I've decided that I don't ever want these unprofessional people in my house again! I will find someone with integrity to fix our bathroom.
Response from WATSON TILE & STONE CONTRACTORS
"We are a small family owned company, we pride ourselves in customer satisfaction and have for over fifty years. We were unaware that the Members were unhappy or that we had unfinished work that needed to be performed. We did have an electrician that had medical problems and appeared to the homeowner to be drunk. He has since retired due to his medical issues. The house was a 1950's bathroom and some of the electrical had been damaged over the years. The electrician actually said the electrical looked like a "rats nest" and was a fire hazard. The grout in any bathroom cracks out over time with the shifting of the house through the extreme heat. The season changes also effects this and we always tell our customers that we will go back for a follow up caulking. Most of our customers after that do the maintenance themselves or they call us back and again we come out at no charge to caulk again. I thought this couple was very nice and pleasant to work with. I am sorry that they have these feelings about our company and we would make it right if we had known of the issues."

This contractor was located because of a newspaper add (the ''Ugly Bathroom'') and after talking to others about options for a tub replacement or cover-up. After the first estimate, the complete overhaul was split between the owner and the contractor with the owner electing to install the wallpaper and wainscoting and do the painting. Owners provided cabinet and sink, shower and faucet fixtures and flooring. Contractor provided the tile, tub and all installation materials in the price. The job got slowed down due to the installer's working two jobs at once. Most of the owner's work on the walls had to wait until all else was done. The complete work performed by the contractor was removal of the tub and tile, removal of the old sink and cabinet, removal of carpet, remove and reseat toilet, provide tub and tile and install, install all fixtures and flooring, install new sink and cabinet and replace flooring in the 2nd bath.
