The service of piano tuning was performed professionally and he was very punctual. It had been a very long time since my piano had been tuned and Tim suggested it be tuned once more in six months and then annually.

I am so happy that we found Mr. Partin. Always a pleasant experience when he comes to our home. Hopefully he will be our "piano man" for many years to come. Our tuning experiences (2) and two string replacements because of breakage on our 35 plus year old upright were done quickly and professionally. So very pleased with his services.

I spent 6 months contacting various repair folks, piano manufacturers, piano dealers for replacement parts and repair options with no luck.  Everyone said repair was impossible and parts could not be made to match finish.  Finally someone recommended Tim Partin, who knew exactly what needed to be done during first phone call: repair the wood and match the finish by hand.  His quote was lower than expected, so I was willing to give it a try.
Tim Partin used old craftsman skills and unique tools to repair the finish and PAINT on the grain of the wood and match the exact stain with all its years of fading.  He matched THE EXISTING WOOD GRAIN.  When he was finished, I could not see where the damage had been. I literally could not point it out, his patching/matching/refinishing was that precise and detailed.  I remained impressed enough to write this review 10 years later. The repair remains in great condition: still can not see where it was. He also found a valuable amethyst ring I lost in the piano decades before as a child and returned it to me.  (And a lost socket from my teenage years when I tried to tune the piano myself!)  Seems like an upstanding guy out to do right by the customer with a rare set of skills for difficult repairs.  A true professional.
When my kids get older, I will call him again to repair all the new damage from their years of appreciation of the piano!

Response from TIM PARTIN PIANO SERVICE
"I do not have a record of having performed this service on your piano, and I do not have any records for you in my customer database. However, I checked back through my phone logs and found that I had referred you to another technician back in January, as I could not meet your deadline on my schedule at that time. Could the other technician have been the one that came out that day? If you think that I'm mistaken, then could you please provide the number at the top of the invoice? I can track it down if I have that number. Thank you, Tim"

Tim has been tuning our piano for many years now and I wanted to take a minute to recommend him to other Angie's List subscribers. Tim serves customers throughout the Metroplex. His primary market is private homes, churches, and schools. As I mentioned, we've used Tim Partin for many years and can recommend him highly.

He was on time. He tuned my Baby Grand, it had not been tuned in quite sometime. He did a great job, and advised me on several items about my piano. I was very pleased, and made a appointment for future tuning.

Tim was efficient and when I left him a note to come in to the house and make himself at home, he did that and was working when we arrived! He's trustworthy, and he knows his business like the back of his hand. Our piano was nearly 1/2 step low from many years of moving, so he brought it up and told us we'd need him back in six months and we're now overdue. We are musicians and we appreciate a good ear when we see/hear one, and we'll hire him again, without reservation. We've been very pleased with his results on our 30-year-old Kawaii baby grand.
