I do not recommend this company's services at all. I received a call today at work from the new manager of TexRoots, Chris Tucker, to inform me that I have a $500 outstanding bill that he is going to sue me for if I don't pay him.
My husband had Tex-Roots mow our lawn twice in 2012 and then I spoke with the owner about how we didn't need that done anymore, but we would be more interested in some landscaping. He came out to the house and gave a few suggestions, but I never heard from him again. Until today. Chris (who said he is new to the company and didn't know the previous owner) called to tell me that even though he has no evidence that he actually mowed the lawn and he admitted that it's embarrassing that he never sent me a bill before, he will sue me in small claims court unless I pay him $500 now. He said he will have a lien put on my home if I don't send him money. I still feel stunned by the phone call. I tried to explain that I was unaware that they were mowing my lawn since my husband mowed the lawn as well and that I didn't receive a bill before so I feel that it is unfair to try to collect on this alleged bill. He had no mercy and hung up on me after repeating that he will see me in court.

The guys worked hard and communication was outstanding. They guided me on which plants to choose and where to plant them, while ultimately allowing me to pick exactly what I wanted. They were prompt and efficient and didn't quit until the job was done. I am looking forward to using their regular lawn service. I'm very impressed so far.

Don't do leaf removal as advertised and must sign up for recurring service

they followed my instructions on what I wanted planted and where; their lawn manicure services were just fine and they complted the job each time. They set up a weekly service schedule and followed it.

Cliff and his crew showed up on time as scheduled and did a great job. They pulled the weeds, rototilled the flower bed and added landscaper's mix (purchased myself). The flower beds look great and are ready to go for planting now. Cliff always responded to emails very promptly. He is very courteous and his prices are the best around. Will definitely use him for future work.

iI called TexRoots and received a quote to cut my lawn. I wanted the lawn cut every other week. The first week went off with no problems and the lawn was well cut. However, the second week, no one showed up on Thursday, which was our day of service. I wasn't overly concerned because it rained, and I figured that they would just show up on Friday. But they didn't. I called on Friday when I got home from work and left a message with their answering service. No one called me back. I called back Saturday morning and left another message with their answering service. I mentioned that I was very frustrated that no one called me back. The man said that he would send them an urgent page. Still no one called me back. I called again at noon and told the woman from the service to send a message saying that I would be writing a bad review on Angies if I didn't get a call within an hour. It's been 3 hours and 45 minutes and still no call.
Obviously they are completely irresponsible and unresponsive. Don't do business with them.

As noted above, TexRoots did an excellant job from start to finish. During the last two years of Lawn mowing I had no complaints and was extremely happy with their service. During the Bed and Shrub Service, the two gentleman that serviced my yard did an absolutely outstanding job! I can highly recommend TexRoots to any one that needs their lawn or yard worked on. I am bringing them back for the third year and will definately be having them back near the end of the year for the Bed and Shrub Serice. Thanks to Texroots for delivering what they promise!

It has been a good experience. They did everything, done it quickly, and on time. We never had any complaints. They have been very professional.

Contacted the company and they called me right back. They also set a service for the very next day. My grass was unusually long and they did an awesome job.

TexRoots are here on time. They show up every 2 weeks like I want them to. They are doing a good job of mowing and edging the yard. I do not have any dislikes. They are reliable.

They are easy to deal with. I was able to sign up online. So far I really haven't had any negative things happen.

Texroots has been pleasure to work with since I hired them to mow and edge our lawn in June 2012. They are extremely professional and accommodating- on several occasions, they've come out a few days earlier on request to take care of clover and dandelion overgrowth and made a few extra visits when this year's mild winter left our grass a lot longer than previous years. Their communication and responsiveness is top notch, and everything can be done via their easy to use website (including all instructions and prepayments). I've always received very quick replies to all emails. I signed up for the weekly service last summer, switched to monthly service during the colder months, and am returning to weekly service this week (March 2012). They send two man crews who usually finish mowing, edging, and leaf blowing the front and back yards within 20 minutes. Most importantly, everything is left the way they found it (gate closed, dog not galloping down the street, etc...). Prices are extremely reasonable. Highly recommended!

Overall, Texroots does a very good job. They aren't perfect but when they make a mistake they do everything in their power to make it right. Customer service is fantastic. Perry is always very friendly and helpful on the phone. Their crews usually do a great job, occasionally they get a bit sloppy but it's not a regular occurence. They clean up after themselves and our lawn looks much better every time they are here. The only "problems" I had were in the beginning. They left our back gate open twice after they mowed which allowed our dogs to get out but I haven't had that problem in over 3 years. They came once to mow and our yard was about 60% covered in snow. I was pretty upset and called and basically said I wasn't going to pay when they only mowed about 40% of our yard because the rest is still covered in snow! Perry apologized profusely and said that they are not supposed to mow in those circumstances and refunded my money immediately. I would recommend them to anyone. their bed/shrub service is outstanding. They are clean, professional and arrive on time.

I have been using TEXROOTS for three years to mow my lawn. They are best service and the best price I've had since 1980.

The job went very well. The two man crew arrived on schedule and did a great job removing the shrubs and most of the roots. They were very careful to not damage any of the underground sprinkler lines.
