John called to see if he could come earlier. I was happy to have him over. He was knowledgeable, friendly and showed me how to operate the clock. He answered my questions fully. I was worried that my dogs would bother him but he was friendly to them and they laid down around him while he worked. Very good experience for everyone at this household. Will use him in the future as needed.

It was nice, even though that the company I had ordered from sent me the wrong part, he had an extra and was able to install it for me. Very informative, very nice, very professional. He even showed me how to operate the grandfather clock and that was very nice as well. I will recommend him for clock repair or grandfather clock repair. He is very good.

I would hire John in a heart beat. Not only is the clock working perfectly, John spent extra time to explain things about our clock we did not know. John is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and just a nice guy.

Our grandfather clock's moon dial stopped working, and we called to set up an appointment to have it fixed. Since the clock had not been serviced for many years, we scheduled that as well. John came to our house at the appointed time and was very courteous. He carefully took apart the clock and cleaned and oiled all of the components. As he was working, he explained everything he was doing and answered all of our questions. Once everything was completed and reassembled, John told me how the moon dial worked and how to readjust it if necessary. He also told us the dos and don'ts when it comes to maintaining the clock, and that it should be serviced every 5-7 years. He will definitely be getting our business again, even if it's not for another 5-7 years.

He was on time and spent extra time teaching me how to keep it running. It was raining that day but no complaints from him or me. I'd recommend him any time.

I have a Schatz ship's clock that had not been serviced since I bought in in 1968. Very good at what he does, full disclosure and conscientious.

I called on a Sunday and was given an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. He arrived at 230PM and repaired the clock in @ an hour. We are so pleased with the service we received. I recommend Pendulum Clock Shop for repairs to your grandfather clocks.

I bought an old Ethan Allen grandfather clock in a not working status. I had hoped for an easy fix. I got John's number from Angies List and called. John was "Johnny on the spot" and top notch and while I didn't get the good news about our clock I wanted to, he was more than fair with pricing and work required. He told me what to look for inside the clock, what to do, and answered all my questions. Then he offered to answer more if I got into it and wasn't certain, and if that didn't resolve it, he'd be happy to come out. I appreciated his straightforward instructions and his down-to-earth confidence in what his customer could do. It saved me money and taught me something new. He's very generous with his time.

He quoted me a price, told me the work he would do, did the work, called me and I paid and took my working clock back home, where it is running perfectly today.
I was most impressed with his knowledge and experience.... and clearly therei are hundreds of other satisfied customers that use him.

John was great every time I contacted him. My grandfather clock wasn't keep the exact time and he told me how to turn the screw on the pendulum and now it is keeping perfect time. When the pendulum wouldn't keep swinging, he told me how to correct that. He is just great!

When I first spoke to John on the phone, he tried to help me determine the problem with my grandfather clock by phone. I decided to go ahead and have him make a house call and clean both clocks. He was able to come out the next day. He was very professional and friendly. John was able to get both clocks working. He also explained how to care for the clocks on a routine basis.

John Sparks did a great job in reassembling a 1928 Herschede Grandfather clock that I had shipped from my family in PA. The clock had not been working for several years prior to it being shipped to TX. John was very knowledgeable about the clock and how it worked. He oiled the timeworks, checked timeworks components, reassembled the clock in it's cabinet, tested it and made some repairs on location. He balanced the chimes and pendulum so the clock is back up and fully operational. John was pleasant, professional and informative. My son and I watched him throughout most of the reassembly process so we could learn and we was very accomodating. The price for his services was very fair. I will use John again when necessary to keep this family heirloom running and would highly recommend him.

My experience was excellent they are absolutely the best. I have other people here and they have not been able to fix it like they were able to. They were very courteous and had very fair problems. I had a problem 2 days later and he came right back out to fix it without charging me a dime.
