Martin Fencing Company

Martin Fencing has been an interesting company to work with. I spoke with Jason Martin, company owner, initially to quote the replacement of my fence. He was very friendly, respectful and helpful. I chose to work with Jason even though he wasn't my lowest bid because he seemed to be a man of integrity and honesty. Jason came out to my house a week or two before the job was scheduled to start to go over the contract and submit my deposit of 50% of the total fence cost. However, the contract had multiple errors throughout it, including mispelling my name and the wrong dimensions for the fence. Jason was quick to apologize and corrected the contract. They began installation of my fence on April 26th around 7am (after I had already left for work). When I returned home, I found a large pallet of pickets in my front yard grass and a bunch of rubber tire marks all over my driveway. The second day of installation began promptly at 7am again (after I had left). When I returned home from work, the pallet had been removed but my front yard was left littered with little white tags from the pickets and trash. A bunch of the old wooden posts were left in one of my neighbors' yard and a bunch of concrete and scrap metal throughout my yard and other neighbors' yards. I was left with mounds of dirt in a few corners of my yard. They relocated one of my sprinklers onto the wrong side of my gate and broke the water line running to it and the gate pickets were cut at the bottom without any consideration for quality or appearance. Unfortunately, Jason was out of town but I spoke to his fiance and let her know of the situation. I messaged pictures of the mess left behind (included) to Jason and his fiance. They apologized profusely and assured me its not how they do business. She came out a day or two later to collect the debris left behind and scheduled a time with Jason to come out and repair the sprinkler. Jason showed up as planned and relocated the sprinkler. He didn't realize there was a broken water line and had to come out a second time to better place the sprinkler and replace the water line. Most recently, I found that my gate will no longer open, due to a settling of the support, and 2 loose pickets, all of which should be covered under my warranty. Jason told me he was going to come out to repair them 2 weeks ago. I have called, texted and left multiple voicemails since the date he was scheduled to repair the gate but haven't received a single response.
