Things looked nice at first but problems developed approximately 1 month later after the 1st rain. The Flagstone patio has a dip in it that holds water when it rains. Noticed that it was an area where the workers had their 10 years old son helping. One of the siding boards has a crack in it and the roof leaks. When I reported this to Razvan Alexandrescu the project manager he wanted me to call his foreman and have him ;come and fix it ( this should have been Mr. Alexandrescu's job).. After repeated calls it took the foreman over 3 months to get in contact with us. We were out of town at that time he wanted to come by and he never got back in touch with us. Called Mr. Alexandrescu and the foreman many more times and got the same response (none). I tried for a years and a half to get them to make the needed repairs without any results. Buyer beware. As soon as you pay in full you won't see them again.

The work was completed in December of 2015. There have been repairs needed that have taken over a year on the patios and it has been one thing after the other. We've made several phone calls and they would say they'd get someone on it then I would call back and they finally came out, but the repairs were worst than it was before. The last time they came out they said that is all they are going to do, so now I have to find someone to finish the work. I plan to get a bid to take to the court house if I have to. The patios just look terrible. The problem is when they came in to seal the stone it peeled off and then they finally in July power washed which knocked out some mortar in the joints which they replaced with a different color mortar. Instead of replacing the mortar they sealed over it. They also spread residue of the discolored mortar which made worse of a mess. The matter of the fact is they could have repaired this a long time ago because the stone work looks good, but the over all job is totally unacceptable. I want to make everyone aware these folks.

Work started and most of work was good, Alec was here to monitor and workers showed up when they said they would. There were a few bumps along the way, like countertop height is 391/2 instead of 36", bar height is 461/2" instead of 42" and entire kitchen comes out 12" further than is was supposed to. I didn't notice these until the stone was already in place so I accepted it instead of asking him to tear it down and redo it. Overall the outdoor kitchen looks great. After about 6 -7 months I noticed gaps in the wood on the gable and some cracks in the mortar on the brick columns. I contacted Alec at Creative Hardscapes to tell him of the issues. He responded that he woul get his guys out here to take care of it. In couple weeks his stone guy came out and repaired most of the cracks in the mortar. Couple of months later I notice 2 cracks in the countertop by the grill where slots had been cut into the countertop for the grill. I also noticed a crack in the concrete slab as well as the fire pit top. I contacted Alec numerous times and he said his guys would be out to take care of it. After couple more weeks and no one had been out to repair these defects, I contacted Alec again. This time he responded with 2 names and phone numbers and told me to contact his subcontractors myself. I responded back that I hired him for that responsibility as the subcontractors worked for him not me. Another week or so past and nothing was done. I contacted Alec again and sent him pictures of the items needing repair. I am still waiting for these items to be taken care of.

Alex ( Razvan Alexandrescu) claims to have 20 years of experience, yet he "underbid"? this project. He told me multiple times he wasn't making much money on this job. The stone layers did a good job until I realized that the mortar on the stones wasn't supposed to be there. I called Alex, who sent Alfredo. Alfredo came and used a wire brush on the stones and mortar. He was told to use a bristle brush and muriatic acid, which was provided, but he refused because he was in a hurry. Alex got his money, I got a flagstone walkway and patio, but I had to spend about $40 on materials and about 8hrs with 2 people to clean it up. Not happy with the unprofessional conduct by either the contractor or sub.

They were very attentive and took the time to go over all of our options. Even when we decided to go with the least expensive option of just a plain concrete slab they were glad to do it for us. I would definately use them again.
