Angel and his helper did a Fantastic job very thorough and did a quality job. I will definitely use him again.

At first I was very pleased with Angel's services as he was very responsive, started when he said he would and was pleasant to work with. As with most remodel projects we hit a pretty major snag as the cabinetry wasn't built correctly. The cabinet maker was recommended by Angel and did not speak English very well, so Angel had to do most of the communicating with him. To his credit, he did argue my case with the cabinet builder and got him to re do the work that he had not completed as I had requested. Unbeknownst to me this apparently caused some tension between the 2 of them. I was very understanding about the delays at first and Angel even told me that I was one of his nice customers. It quickly became apparent that he was taking advantage of that, though, as once the new cabinets were completed he continually delayed getting them painted, outsourced the job to someone that did it extremely poorly, and then delayed it some more. During the delay he also decided to paint the already installed cabinets, which was a complete disaster. The smell was truly horrific and the paint job was terrible with tons of smudges, which I was told was my fault for not keeping my house at a particular temperature even though he never told me I needed to do that in the first place. Once he finally repainted it the smell was nothing like the first time so I don't know what he used the first time. It smelled toxic from the street. Long story short, Angel started the job in January and told me it would take a month to complete. I told him from the beginning that I was due to have a baby the beginning of March so it had to be done by then. I ended up having to call him from the hospital to tell him that I had the baby and insist that he finally come to the house to repaint all of the cabinetry that weekend so that I did not have to bring my baby home from the NICU to a hotel room or a freshly painted house. To his credit he did pay for me to stay in a hotel once I was discharged from the hospital, however, he should have painted it weeks before and avoided the entire horrible scenario of me going back and forth from the hotel room (with my husband and 3 other children) to the hospital after just delivering my baby. The icing on the really nasty cake was that he just decided to stop taking my calls after he painted the cabinets. There were several small items that he told me he would complete that he just decided he didn't need to do anymore. I had to call him 9 days in a row before he finally returned my call only to be extremely rude to me and tell me that he had done enough for me. Apparently, the delay caused by his cabinet guy was very inconvenient for him so it was wrong for me to expect him to still finish the work he had already agreed to do. So, if everything goes according to plan on your project you will probably find Angel to be a perfectly sufficient contractor. However, If you have any delays you may be treated very poorly and made to feel that you are unreasonable and inconveniencing him because he has already moved on to other jobs and yours is no longer important. If you are nice enough to pay him for most of the work he's done, like I was, then he is likely to not return your calls at all.

He's fantastic! He's great, and very responsive. He's the best handyman I've ever hired. He does pristine work, it blends in with the house and you can't tell that work has been done.

On time, done a day before schedule to end, brought receipts to me for every single thing bought/needed, communicated well, patient with me in choosing tile, stuck to Labour costs that were quoted in beginning, and all work is absolutely beautiful, neat, professional. Only problem? He is so affordable, I am afraid others will take up all his time for my future projects. He gives very honest prices for Labour up front with quick bids. Will not use another contractor. He's perfect.

Angel started the project on time and accommodated our desire to break it up into 3 phases. We were out of town for most of the time that Angel was working on the project and he always kept us in the loop and provided photographs of his progress. As with most projects, he ran into issues and always offered solutions that kept us within budget. The work was done as agreed and for a very reasonable price. Given the opportunity, I would hire Angel again without question.

The work went very well. The work was all done by the 18th or so, but was staggered due to rainy weather. The crew worked efficiently by working around the rain...did the inside work when raining and outside work when it was not. Quality of work was good and was accomplished in a timely manner.

Angel and two helpers were scheduled to be here at 8:00 a.m. and were right on time. As always, very polite and professional. Angel got everything started then went to have the paint matched. He was back in a short time and everything went quickly and smoothly. There seemed to be a slight color variance so they repainted and it matched perfectly. He always makes sure you are pleased with the results. I have used Angel several times and have always been happy with his work and his price.

Since I live in East Dallas and my rental home is in West Ft. Worth, Angel and his team are trustworthy and reliable to get things done when needed. The storm we just had blew down a tree that landed on the garage at the rental house. I was able to get Angel out the next day to carefully remove the tree, as I did not want anyone getting hurt due to the tree being so near to the power lines. Angel has been doing work on my rental for many years now, and I can always leave him a key to get into the house when needed to do work...without any concern.

Angel and his assistant were very punctual, professional and neat. I had several small jobs such as repairing cracks and nail pops in the ceiling and 2 doors that were not closing well where he had to re-frame them. He also repaired and painted my outdoor fence and refinished and painted my front door. He was very good about estimating what would be needed and explained different options to consider. He did a great job and was easy to work with. I would use Angel again when in need of home repair.

Angel was GREAT!
He and his assistant consistently arrived on time. He assessed the work to be completed, and gave us options. We fully expected to have to replace the entire ceiling, and had told him so. There was an obvious sag in the ceiling, with a difference of 3 inches over 4 feet. Instead of simply agreeing with us, and easily making the extra money with absolutely no convincing, he assured us that he could repair the ceiling by replacing just a section of drywall along the length of the entire living room. Of course, Angel would have replaced all the drywall on the ceiling if that was what we had wanted, but he tried to save us money without compromising the end result. There was absolutely no attempt to make a few extra bucks. Angel takes pride in his work, and recommends what his best for his customers.
Angel made the larger drywall repairs, and where our repairs were adequate, he left them. The walls were a simple repair. I was a little indecisive with regard to the texture I wanted on the walls. I described to Angel what I thought I wanted, and he created a couple of samples on the walls as they were applying the skim coat. I was still undecided, so before he left that afternoon, Angel applied a couple of different textures to some leftover scraps of drywall so that I could have overnight to think about it. He was very patient!
The ceiling was not such a simple repair - my husband and I weren't exactly surprised. Every project we've done in our home - no matter how seemingly simple - has had at least one unexpected development / quirk / "surprise". Once Angel removed the drywall to be replaced, he discovered that the crossbeams in that area were just hanging there; they weren't attached to the support beam. He showed me what the issue was, offered 2 options - 1 of which would cost about $250 extra - and let me decide which route to take. What I really appreciated was that Angel showed me all the little issues as he discovered them, and instead of solely doing the drywall work, he took the time to take care of these little things, such as capping the open wires that were just sitting between the beams.
In the end, we have a flat ceiling with a smooth finish, and beautifully textured walls. Angel and his assistant left our house clean and tidy every time they left for the day - it took 3 days to complete the work. We paid exactly what he quoted for the originally-anticipated work. The only additional costs were of course the materials - which Angel purchased and provided receipts for - and the cost to solve the issue with the ceiling beams. There were no hidden or surprise costs. I knew exactly what I was paying ahead of time, and didn't have to pay a penny above Angel's quotes.
We would hire Angel for any of our future projects, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services to friends. Actually, a neighbor just came by to introduce himself because he noticed that we were now renovating our kitchen, and he is in the middle of a kitchen remodel. We invited him in to see our progress, and when we mentioned that he wasn't satisfied with the contractor he had consulted with regarding his project, we showed him our living room, described the work Angel had completed, and provided him with Angel's contact information.

Angel is proactive, punctual, diligent and professional. He recently finished a remodel of our home. It was subsequently flooded from an upstairs water leak. I had no hesitation in hiring him again for a repeat performance - now finished. He arranged all the wall, trim, ceiling and floor repairs and painting, including rebuilding/tiling the bathroom that was destroyed by the leak!

I would give him an F. He drilled an electrical hole in the wrong place. He overcharged me for a very simple job. He used a piece of cardboard to shim the bedroom door. I had to take it down because it was unstable. He came back twice to fix issues, but it still wasn't right. I called him to have him come back to do drywall only, but he never responded. I decided not to pursue it. There was a damaged 2X4, which was what cause the door not to work. He didn't pay attention to detail. He was only responsive and punctual because of the money, to get paid. I had to go and pick up all the materials. He wasted at least 30-40% of the materials, which seemed high. Clean up was horrible; I'm still cleaning up six months later. He had excuses for why he couldn't do the drywall right. He said the walls weren't straight. I believe that you need to work with what you have. He chewed up the molding and scratched up the surface. I had already prepared the walls in the room for him; I scraped them and had them ready. His job on the drywall wasn't bad, but I'm going to have someone redo it.
