The scheduling lady, "Nicki", called on a Monday to set up an appointment which was set for the following Wednesday from 8-11am. At 10:45 am I called because I had not heard from the technician. Nicki assured me he would call. No call, no show. I called two more times and left messages to reschedule with no call back. But here's the kicker-when we called to complain to the home warranty company, they called All Tech to see what had happened. Nicki said that we never set an appointment. Not showing up is one thing-lying is completely unacceptable.

They haven't returned any phone calls from me and they had an appointment to come out, but they never did after promising that they would.

My 18 month old Kenmore Elite dish washer started making a loud obnoxious grinding noise (we initially chose this product because it was quiet). Of course, it is out of warranty but luckily (?) I have a home warranty which covers appliances large and small. So I filed a claim. The home warranty company informed me that ALL-TECH APPLIANCE would be contacting me to set and appointment to come and check my machine. A few days later (Wed) someone from ALL-TECH APPLIANCE called to say that they would be here the next day (Thu). The "tech", simply named John, showed up within the specified time window that they had given me. John was cordial and we exchanged the obligatory but brief small talk and then John promptly started checking my dishwasher. After running the washer through a few cycles and hearing the annoying noise it was making, John soon proclaimed that bearings had gone bad in one of the motors inside the machine and that he did not have the parts on the truck to fix it at this time. John then asked me if someone would be home the next (Fri) morning and I assured him that someone would be here. John assured me that he would return the next "morning" with the new parts and take care of it. I asked if it would for sure be in the morning and he vowed yes. He collected the $55 service charge and left never to be seen again by me. The next day, my Mother-in-law waited for John to show but he never arrived nor called. I began calling the number on the work order at around 2:00 PM but only got an answering machine. I call four times throughout the day but never got a call back from John or anyone from ALL-TECH APPLIANCE. A quick reverse search of the two phone numbers for ALL-TECH showed one number to be unlisted and the other to an apartment residence. My searches indicate that this company doesn't seem to have a physical address. The next Monday, I made a few more calls throughout the morning to ALL-TECH APPLIANCE but still no luck speaking to a live person and no return call. I then called the warranty company to complain about this unacceptable situation. It was then that I learned from the warranty company that ALL-TECH APPLIANCE had reported that my washer was working perfectly and that it was only making a noise. The warranty person informed me that they don't pay to fix thing that make noise but still work. After I blasted that impudent little warranty company drone, I called ALL-TECH APPLIANCE and gave them a piece of my still fuming mind. Well, at least I gave their answering machine a piece of my mind because as usual no one answered the phone. After that, I wrote a fairly lengthy letter of protest to the manufacturer with my thoughts on product longevity and built-in obsolescence and how not to extinguish customer loyalty. Please do the same when you find companies that are falling short. Whether it be defective products or poor service or fraudulent promises.
