Alexander's Landscape & Irrigation

The ground was extremely wet near one of the sprinkler heads.  Mike checked the sprinkler head, found that the problem was not from the head, but was possibly caused by excessive water from a French drain that dumps into that location.  He dug a trench to allow water to drain away from the low spot and adjusted the sprinkler head to provide better coverage of the yard...which I'd not asked him to do and was, therefore, appreciative.

Once I agreed on the work to be done, my name was put on the wait list.  It took around 6-8 weeks before they started installing the sprinkler system. After the work began, it took a little over 2 and a half weeks for the sprinkler system to be installed. Once this was installed, I continued to wait for the drainage issues and sod projects to start.  After waiting around 4-5 more weeks, I called David and was told he forgot to order the grass sod. I waited another week before calling again and finally cancelling the work I needed done. 
David J. (owner) was very nice but wasn't very good at calling and/or keeping me informed of any progress or delays (emails worked better than calling on the phone). If you don't mind waiting a VERY long time to get any work done, the work they do seems to be quality work. 

This was for a rent house I owned. The tenant said that they did a good job and got it fixed quickly.

Excellent, highly recommend them in the future. Their workers were on time and completed the project as quoted. Our yard was left neat and the system is performing great. Alexander's followed up with a phone call to ensure that we were satisfied with the job done. Their performance on this job ensured that we will have them back out to do a complete rework of the landscaping in May.

Mike always does a great job on repairs. He's quick and efficient! The price is always very fair. Best and lowest cost repairs of all the many companies we've hired.

Mike arrived when he said he would. He was very professional and did the work very quickly. Checked my system to make sure all stations were working properly. I will definitely use them again if I have problems. I highly recommend them for sprinkler repair.

Mike was able to pinpoint the problem that 2 of our 5 stations weren't working.  He was prompt & found the problem quickly.  He also found the remaining 3 valve boxes (we knew where 2 of them were).  They had been covered with a couple of inches of dirt & grass.  We will definitely use this company again for our irrigation needs.  Mike also mentioned they do other landscaping services.

Showed on time, did everything I asked and was personable and professional. Not sure what the going rate is for this kind of work so it is hard to comment on price but overall very happy with the service.

Upon inspection, they found several sprinkler heads that needed replacing or repositioning. They worked with my wife to insure that new flower beds were being watered well.  The finished with us completely satisfied.

I am surprised when I read some of the other reviews that they found Alexander's Landscape & Irrigation pricey.  It took them two days to complete our job, and my husband and I could not believe, that as much work as they were doing, that it was only $810.  (That was after our 10%  Angie's List discount.) 
Everyone of their employees were professional, courteous, and friendly.  But the two standouts were Mike and Justin.  They were the ones who did the majority of the work.   
The new sprinkler's are amazing.  It is like watching an orchestrated water dance.
We will definitely use them again.  And yes, we did have to wait a bit for them to put in our system, but it was worth the wait.

We had noticed a problem with one of our sprinkler heads and it was time for the system to be checked anyway.  Mike, a very personable technician, came out and found the problem.  He replaced the head and checked the rest of the sprinkler system for leaks.  He made sure to check my controls as well and made some suggestions as to measures I could take to improve my water usage.

It took 7 weeks to get them out to start the job. Mainly because they were just so busy I was way down the waiting list. They arrived as scheduled and worked really hard during the blistering heat. All work was performed as bid and I was very happy with the results. They did miss one day to finish another job without advising me which sort of miffed me. But they came the next day and finished. I had to call them out to refine the sloping of the grade and they came right out to work the next day. Completely satisfied. Would hire again.

Alexander's professional team provide us with an initial design of our property, they asked for our input into the design and added our wants?/needs without being pushy, very professional.  Their crews were courteous, helpful and most importantly clean.  The finished product looks fantastic, we love it and we have received countless positive comments on the finished product.  Thank you for a job well done.  Highly recommend the use of Alexander's.

The price was a little bit high for the return visit.  It was almost as much as the initial price, but I was very pleased with their work.

Because of the hot weather issues everyone is having lawn problems.  When I called Alexander's and talk to individuals there, they made every effect to set up appointment to get out as soon as possible and help out.  They came out repaired what needed to be fixed and did a wonderful job.

Sprinkle repair was fantastic.  The person went above and beyond to fix our system.  We paid a high price, but it was worth it. Drainage work was done very well and on-time. Spring clean-up was done well and on-time.  If something wasn't done exactly right, they'd come back out and make it right.  No hassles. Weekly lawn-service seems uncoordinated.  Often didn't show up as scheduled, and no heads-up was given.  When they did show, it was just okay.  Mow, edge and blow, but was inconsistent. Would use them again for everything but weekly service.   

I was very pleased with them. I was very impressed with the workers that did this landscaping. This was the first true landscaping I had them specifically do. I had them because they were the one that had put in the sprinkle system and the drip line. They reconfigured the flower bed and put in new shrubs and also some grass as I had the flower bed redesigned. Their work was exceptional. They were pretty responsive. They were not so punctual, as they didn't show up when they said they would, but they were able to get the work completed in one afternoon. I would probably use their service in future.

The experience was excellent. They did the front yard about four years ago and we have them come in and do the back yard. They just bend over backwards; it doesn't matter how many times we mess up the sprinkler system, they would just come out and reprogram it for free. They replace heads for free. I mean it is a lifetime deal with them. Every single person there is just out of this world; they are nice, professional and know what they are doing. They are always on time, most accommodating and would go over to help your neighbors that are elderly or can't take care of it themselves. They are just wonderful people.

It went very well. The cause of the problem was a broken PVC pipe which was diagnosed and fixed quickly. The service technician then patiently checked all zones and heads for possible performance problems. Some heads were adjusted. Some heads were changed out entirely. I was quite satisfied with the service call. My service call was June 9, 2008. This company stays booked up a lot during summer months. That's something to keep in mind. I had to wait two weeks for service, but that's probably to be expected in June. From now on, I will check my system's performance in early March so that, if there's a problem, I can get it fixed before the busy season begins. That being said though, I'm not too sure that Alexander's is the best company to use for home landscaping. I think they have big commercial contracts like schools, etc. that are much more lucrative than individual homes. A couple of years ago I tried to get them to do home landscaping for me and never had repeated phone calls returned. So, I like them for sprinkler service repair but I was left unsatisfied two years ago by their landscaping department.
