Primo Painting

They did exactly what we paid for.  Primo and team worked very hard and were very professional.  I would definitely use them again.

1. Terrible experience.  I purchased a "deal" he had on the list, 8 hours with a professional painter $200.  He called, and said he couldn't schedule me for over a month.  I told him I was painting a house to sell, and couldn't wait that long, so just issue a refund.  He talked me into letting him paint my office instead.  He cancelled two more times.  When he arrived, he had his two children with him.  I had some areas of drywall that needed to be patched, and he told me he had not brought any tools with him.  I went to Lowe's and purchased the tools myself.  Then he told me he would be leaving in 4 hours.  I pointed out I had paid for 8, and he said his son was also working, and was a professional, therefore, he only owed me 4.  Son was 17.  I figured as long as he could paint like a professional painter, I did not mind his age.  I told them to paint one room at a time, and do as many rooms as could be finished in the time.  Mr. Primo asked should he patch the holes or paint.  I told him I was more concerned about repairing the drywall, and just paint as many rooms as could be done.  I noticed the son was just doing roller work, and leaving 6-8 inches along the roof and floor unpainted..  I specifically told him to quit painting new rooms, and finish the brush work in the lobby of my office.   He ignored me.  I spoke to Mr. Primo about it, who then told me his son could not do brush work.  All he knew how to do was the roller.  I told him I could not open my office for business on Monday, with the borders of every room a different color.  I was much worse off than before he had ever come out.  Mr. Primo said he would only stay if I paid him $200 per hour to stay.  I refused, and then insisted he needed to at least complete the one room I had told him was my first priority, the front lobby of my office.  He once again told me I would need to pay him $200 per hour to stay.  He then left, leaving me to cancel my weekend plans and paint the office myself.

He was very flexible with my schedule and gave me some advice on some other projects I had going around my house.
He paid close attention to detail and overall he did an amazing job.
I will hire him again soon.

He painted my bedroom. It went very well and overall I was satisfied. He was a very friendly man and I will hire him in the future.

We had a miscommunication the morning of scheduled service so he didn't get started until after 11am. Less than 2 hours later he had to leave for a dr appt. He returned a couple hrs later & worked for 2 hrs, then left. He did a very nice job with the painting he finished but my expectation was that I paid for a full day of painting, and I received slightly less than 4 hrs. He said there were 2 people (him & his wife) so that's 2 people x 4 hrs = 8 hrs. Primo has a very pleasant personality and knows his trade well, but be sure you have a complete understanding of what you are getting beforehand, communicate clearly the start & finish time & your address beforehand, and have all your paints & supplies on hand & ready to go so you don't have any time wasted.

Primo did a great job. He pays great attention to detail.

Went Wonderfully well. Painted walls down and around our staircase and formal living room and dining room. Looks fantastic. Best money I've spent this year on Angie's List. Will hire again.

Primo contacted me super fast after purchasing the Angie's deal! We set up a date that worked for both of us and showed up as promised! He is very professional and a super nice guy. He painted the two rooms I asked for. We talked it all out and were on the same page before he even started. His work is spectacular! He took his time to do everything right and when he left he cleaned up everything perfectly! I dont think I found a speck of paint on the floor or anything!!
I imagine he will continue to get called in for jobs, I plan on hiring him again... I just have to wait my turn...lol

Mr. Ortiz was very professional and did a very professional job.  The living room has lots of windows and lots of detail areas.  The baseboards, doors and trim were painted with an oil based paint and look great.  Mr. Ortiz cleaned up very good after the job was complete.  Very happy with the job.

primo did an excellent job on my home...he was professional, cheerful, honest and a perfectionist in his work....I changed my mind on what walls to paint what color, and he cheerfully went thru the changes with me.   I am so proud of his job and would definitely use him again...in fact I have already called him for a smaller job on my home....such a nice, courteous, gentle guy...very creative and artistic....

He responded very quickly to a request for a free quote.  Later we tried to schedule the work, but it was dependent on the weather.  When the job began, he and his wife Iris worked very well as a team.  The log home is beautiful now.  He covered the concrete of the porch etc. with drop cloths and was very thorough and careful in the application of the oil-based stain.  He also cleaned and stained our deck, which had not been done before.  He brought his own equipment, ladders, thinner and drop cloths.  He and his wife cleaned up thoroughly after the job and placed their trash in a garbage bag next to my trashcans.
One positive note:  he borrowed a 1/4" socket driver from me.  When the job was done, and I had forgotten, he returned the tool to me before he left.
I will certainly call Primo again when it is time to re-stain the house.

He was excellent. I would highly recommend him. I liked that he was a perfectionist. He did whatever I wanted. He is a pretty good handyman. He ran late a lot.
