+ -1 moreApplied Latex paint over oil based paint, painted kitchen cabinets without authorization. Two months after completion the trim, doors and cabinets peeled. He then told me the only remedy was to replace all trim and doors because latex paint was applied over oil based psint. He never mentioned before starting the job that oil based paint had been used previously and that would have to be used again. He advised me I needed to purchase all new woodwork., but he could not remedy the problem. !!!!!BEWARE!!!!! In small claims court he said he told me it would peel before he started not after. Why would anyone pay to have paint peel?
