Our automotive techs can assist you with unlocking vehicles by using specialized and specific tools for specific vehicles as well as originating an original key for the vehicle's lock system. Our hardware servicing includes repair and replacement of ignition, door and trunk locks and hardware. The Key Depot's mobile unit includes special key duplication systems in the event you need a duplicate key cut onsite. Our mobile system also includes high security key duplication, programming, and remotes. The Key Depot does more than just service locks, we also carry a broad array of professional grade safes to meet your needs. From small home or office safes, to large standup safes, we have everything to meet the needs of our customers. In addition to sales, we also install and service safes, including combination changes.

Asked for a rekey I was told 1 hour. Came back an hour later and was told I waited for no reason they can't do it "because it's hard". So I took my locks only for them to call me after driving 45 minutes away that they forgot to give me everything back. So I then asked for a key origination instead with the lock they forgot to give me. I was told it's ready two days later. Drove 45 mins to get there and was told they're not ready. They told me to wait while they start the job they accepted 2 days prior. Edit: Waited 2 hours in their store and then was forced out without help because they read this very review. Incompetent staff very unorganized. Please steer clear.

Quick service, good work, but theN the guy told me the bill was $360 for 15 minutes of work!!!!!! Unbelievably overpriced. My guess is to take advantage of a woman by herself who is trying to make her home safe. NEVER hire these guys!!!! NEVER. I shall complain to the Better Business Bureau as well.

Jim arrived on time, presented me with his business card and had his badge visible. After showing him the doors that needed to be rekeyed, he went right to work. He was very personable, courteous, answered all my questions, even let me know that the doors facing the pool needed to some TLC from the chemicals being h****** door hardware. He was very efficient and cheerful on a very oppressively humid day.

They showed up on time, were curtious and professional. Services took less than 3 hours to compete.
Original estimate was $500-600. Final bill was $800. Even thought they billed me over $300 for labor (about $100 per hour), they still charged a $50 trip fee.
This was significantly more than i expected to spend. Important lesson for me was that even though a company has an "A" rating on Angie's List, from now on I'll get several estimates and will get them in writing.
Hopefully no one else will make the mistake I just did.

UPDATE: The owner accepted the original price, apologized for any misunderstanding and offered a discount on any additional services. After exchanging letters with him, I am convinced these are honest folks dedicated to doing a quality job and that my experience was a simple mis-communicaiton....

The lock replacement went very well. While a different company was installing my new fence, Jim rekeyed the locks in the gates to use the same key. I also had an antique sea chest that I could not open. They helped me open it and then repaired the 200 lock so that it works like new.
I really appreciate all their advice and service.

This place was good. The guy was real professional and he did an excellent job. He did locks on 3 doors, front door, garage door and patio door. He did a real good job. I would recommend him. The job overall went good. He took credit cards and he had a credit card machine. I don't write paper checks and to me they are history. I have others do the same job in San Antonio and charge me $150 so I thought his price was good. He gave me 3 keys. I called him and he called me back and he was here in an hour and half though it was not an emergency.

I called The Key Depot on a Tuesday morning and they were able to complete the work on Tuesday afternoon. The technician was delayed due to an emergency call(someone had locked himself out of his car) Jim, the technician, called to say that he would be delayed and explained why. This was not a problem for me. If I were locked out of my car, I would definitely appreciate that the locksmith aided me first, rather than putting a simple re-keying first. Jim arrived and completed the call in a timely manner.

The locksmith was quick taking my call and he stopped by to give an estimate for repairing my front door lock. His prices were quite good and he told me about his work guarantee. The lock repair was scheduled on the spot and the locksmith came well equipped. He did a real good job, was fast and efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend him, and I would certainly use him again.
