- Decluttering never finished.
- Held a garage sale for my 76yr father to "help him" make money to help pay for the estate sale. They were suppose to itemize eveything for the garage sale and hold the garage sale at their house. After the sale they were supposed to donate everything to Goodwill. They did not Itemize anything before the sale. They did not produce a list until my dad asked for it and that is when we discovered a lot of items not accounted for. We later found out that they held the garage sale with her parents who own a junk store that was not part of my dad's agreement. When asked what happened to some of the items not listed, they claimed they took it all to Goodwill. I found out that some of it was given to her parents to be resold in their shop. A lot of the items are still unaccounted for and after talking to the Manager at Goodwill after the sale none of the items made it there. Not only did my father's stuff go missing, but they ended up making 50% of the profits from the garage sale.
The Estate Sale: Trusting them and not knowing anything about Estate sales my father paid them up front to hold the sale. This was to have the house cleaned, advertising, etc. They were also going to make 25% off the entire sale. Thank goodness I investigated their claims and discovered their dishonesty about the Garage sale before the Estate sale happened. However it was an expensive lesson learned they never returned his upfront money and we are still wondering where his things went. These women were very dishonest and took advantage of a 76 yr old. Buyer Beware!!!
