It went well and we are very happy.

Prompt and professional work.  Mr. Shelton and his staff were easy to work with and finished the job quicker than I thought they would.  Staff answered questions and cleaned the area when the job was complete.  Mr. Shelton does charge 2.3% for payment w/Credit Card; which is not shown on the Angie's List website.

Overall, I am pleased with how well Steve and Outback Fence worked to satisfy my concerns.

They did an excellent job. They came when they said and gave us a schedule of building the fence. Very high quality and professional work. We would definitely use them again.

Easy to deal with, and workers were on time, polite and friendly. More importantly, the did the job well and in a reasonable time.

**** UPDATE****

Steve @ Shelton's Outback came and had all the issues I have fixed.  Every thing is looks and works GREAT now  :)

This all began when my 1st hired contractor quit
and failed to finish the fencing job? He was a friends brother.. I am guessing
that was my 1st mistake?
Being a single female, I was very happy in speaking with
Steve @ Shelton?s Outback in coming in and finishing the job.  He made be feel secure that he would take
care of me.  The previous fencer had set
the post and we had already purchased a lot 
of the materials ?
The Outback representative showed up with a crew of Mexican Nationals, I presume,
since they spoke very little English. 
The Outback representative had to convers with them in Spanish and told me to go thru him if
I needed anything that he would take care of me..  The crew had to be told step by step what needed
to be done..
The crew helped themselves to my 7ft ladder and what tools
that had been left out..  I had a
?Cowboy? pool being built at the same time. 
So I had various contractors working @ my home.  I had to ask for some things back, which the
crew did return.  Although they continued
to  use my 7ft ladder.. Since I guess they
didn?t have one and you sure need one in building a 7ft privacy fence!!
 
Time went on .. Work was slow.. They worked mainly when
The Outback representative came by and when their Padre (aka Dad) was working with them.  Otherwise the Tejano  Music was full blast and they were dancing and singing.  (FYI ? I work from home..
And from my desk had a 1st hand view.)  Sometimes it was pretty darn loud.
Everyday after I got off work, and they had left for the day?
I had to clean the yard up from all the trash they had left. Water bottles,  food packages etc..
The Outback representative stayed on them as best he could.. One day they didn?t
show at all and Steve could not reach them? 
The last thing to be built was my utility gate.. It was
getting close to the end of the day and The Outback representative
told them (in Spanish of course)
to get the gate done before they left for the day so they could get paid.. The
crew was not happy about it.. The Padre and The Outback representative
had a bit of a yelling match and they begrudgingly built the gate.. And did a horrible job of it!!
I made the old time mistake of paying the contractor when
the job was not completed to the standards it should have been.. But The Outback representative
told me he would come back and fix them.. GUESS WHAT!! Here it is January 17, 2015
and they NEVER have!!
It Utility gate blows open when locked.. And now it will
barley open..  Just a mess! 
I told The Outback representative that the utility gate was a fail!  I asked for a quote on how much it would cost
to do a metal frame gate.. I could get the 4x4 steel post..  So he would not have to deal with that..   Never heard back?
All thru this time, I have called Steve and texted him, all
to be told I haven?t forgotten about you! 
I will get back with you as soon as I can?
Never hearing back...
I have had to go nail boards in place that never had a nail
in them!  Fix a split board myself.. And even had one Cedar planks just fall off
this week?
I know I had an unusual fence job, but I to this day, get
mad about this whole ordeal.
So? NO!  I would never
refer anyone to Shelton?s Outback Fence Company.

Did an excellent job on out second home. We weren't even there and they kept us in the loop, on what was going on by sending us pictures. They were very responsive and did an excellent job. What a great company to work with.

He installed 6' privacy fence with galvanized pole uprights and three horizontal rows to attach the slats to.  He installed roughly an acre (rectangular shaped) over uneven terrain with wire at the bottom of the fence at two drainage areas, a drive through gate, and a walk through gate. They finished in approximately two weeks and the bill was slightly over $12,000. It is a beautiful fence and I would and did call on him again after he fenced the first half acre of fencing for me. I will call again for any other fencing needs we have.

His bid was less then the competitors bids. I was able to see a sample of his work prior to hiring him. We hired Jeff for the work and he installed a great fence! We have since referred Jeff to other neighbors who have had similar positive experiences. We have hired Jeff for additional work that will take place in April 2014 to add puppy bars to the existing fence.

The workers actually started this project 2 days earlier then expected and I found the crew were very respectful and cleaned up every day. The crew brought to my attention of my irrigation problem and the owner gave me a contact that fixed it that afternoon, I recommend them Highly.

Jeff planned the job, did excellent work, & kept everything clean & secure.  He is a man of his word:  fair, honet, & artistic.

I am very happy with the quality of the fence. Their service, attentiveness and timing were not good. I would not use them again.
