They were running a little late, but Patrick called me to let me know they would be 30 min since there was a piece of equipment they needed from shop. He explained the procedure before they got started and kept me up to date each step. They did a great job! Definitely calling them again if I need any plumbing done.

I called Ott (who has done work for me before) when I discovered water in my closet (which obviously should not have been there). They were able to send a plumber and helper out within two hours. GREAT! Within 30 minutes, Cody was able to identify that the leak was on the hot water side and so we turned off the hot water. He believed it was a slab leak and when he checked with the office, they told him they would schedule their specialist in slab leaks to come out.
This afternoon the office called me to let me know that their slab specialist would not be available until early March. 2 weeks is too long to wait so I am using Angie's list to help me find another plumber.
Ott is timely and their techs seem proficient and professional. I might not hire them for a complicated project but they are great for the run-of-the mill things.
My only real gripe is I think their fees are on the high side. $15 trip charge, plus hourly rate (between 90-135) and they do not pro-rate the hour.

Great, they said it would be an after hours charge. It wsa but was still way worth them spending two hours in our yard and stopping th flow of water.

After having a very negative experience with Ernie's plumbing (see review), we decided to use Ott's Plumbing, who was referred to us by Sears (where we bought our water softener). They were able to give us an estimate over the phone ($100-200), and schedule an appointment quickly. Cody installed our water softener and was right on time, did it in a timely manner (within an hour) and gave us a great estimate ($200). He installed it no problem, and started the machine, and placed the salt in it as well. He also went over instructions with me in detail. Our end cost was $170, which was right on target with our estimate. Overall, I was very pleased with this experience and plan on using Ott's plumbing in the future, and will continue to recommend them.

Good except for the time which resulted in a seemingly high cost.

Ott plumbing had a service man on site in about an hour, did the necessary work quickly and carefully, and even provided a pump to help with priming the expansion tank. He was very helpful and the cost was quite reasonable for late on a Friday afternoon. I was able to finish with the installation within minutes of his work, and all is working perfectly.

While the man was punctual, calling me before coming, and was agreeable, he seemed to make the least possible effort to get the job done. The shut off valve leaked severely, but instead of replacing it, he just tightened the nut. Ditto the shower handle. While it fixed the leak, I suspect he just kicked the can down the road. When I asked him why he thought it was leaking, he said the rubber gaskets become loose and tightening can stop the leak. He fixed 2 sink faucets by changing out the rubber gaskets. I had found what appeared to be a leak under the sink when I cleaned out the stuff to make sure he could get to the shut off valves. All he did was feel around the drain on the bottom of the sink and said he didn't feel anything wet. As soon as he left, I turned on the faucets, and one of the sink faucets leaked around the handle (a different leak than what was fixed) - he had said that the valve stem was worn and that he didn't carry my brand (1985 Delta) on his truck, so he wouldn't have been able to fix it anyway, but it didn't leak until he 'fixed' it (which is what usually happens when I try to fix stuff, which is why I paid a professional to hopefully do a better job than I could do). Also, as soon as there was water in the sink, the drain started leaking. So I feel that he was very incomplete - he didn't test the faucets after he fixed them and didn't put water in the sink to test for the leak around the drain. I didn't call the company back because that would have meant I had to take another half day off of work to be there for them to REdo the job I had already asked them to do. Plus, I won't use this company again - not impressed at all despite glowing reports from other Angie's list's users.

We've had good results. They worked with us and got stuff squared away. They were there when they said they were going to be there. They worked exactly from our contract bid list and they had a copy of it with them. They went step by step through each element. If anything came up that was unexpected, they immediately brought it to my attention and waited for approval before they went forward with anything. They were very professional and worked above and beyond what we expected and got it all done. They got things squared away with the water department. We had to run an extra line so the water department would declare us legal. We did all that good stuff and it came off very well. We finished up around Christmas and I remember giving them a six-pack of beer and a two-pound thing of sausage and Merry Christmas. They said they didn't give us anything and we said you got us home before Christmas and that was all we wanted. I haven't finished paying them yet because the bill has not been finalized. We are going to have them do some more interior work. We didn't have any other prices to compare. We would absolutely recommend them. They responded more promptly than the other companies we contacted.

They did a very good job. Everything turned out great. I was surprised at how fast the service was done. The pricing however, was extremely high. I did not mind paying the price because they did such good work. Ott was actually recommended to me by a neighbor. He really knew his stuff! These guys were great, very well prepared, nice and professional.

The plumber showed up on time and fixed everything in less than an hour. He was one of the nicest people I have met, and made sure we were not over charged. He even gave me some industrial strength cleaner to remove the calcium build up in my toilet, and actually helped me clean it. Then he told me were to purchase it. We have only been living here a year and a half, but Ott has become our official plumber.

THE WORKERS WERE AS CAREFUL AS POSSIBLE INSIDE THE HOME AND EXPLAINED EACH THING THEY DID TO FIND THE POINT OF LEAKING. THE COMPANY FILED THIS BILL WITH OUR HOME WARRANTY SERVICE AND KEPT IT VERY SIMPLE FOR US. THE $500 WAS PAID BY HOME WARRANTY.
