Our almost 10yr old unit stopped cooling at the very end of summer. We had a refridgerant leak due to rusting of the upstairs evaporator coils. (The original Goodman evaporator coils were made of galvanized metal and it reacted with the copper tubing and condensate water to start the rusting process.) The internal components were all covered under warranty and I paid for labor. My new evaporator coils inside the upstairs air handler unit are made of aluminum and should provide a long service life. I had a good experience. I would much rather my business go to a local company. And if I need anything else, they are close by to fix it.

They came out when they said they were going to come out. They showed up and did the work. It took them from 9-4 to do it, but they finished everything up.

It's working. They came out, they looked at it, they gave me a price and I really didn't have much choice. They got it fixed. I think they charged a lot for it. I would do more shopping around but I might use them again.

Called because of failing A/C. A technician came the next day, evaluated the system, offered several courses of action. Advised us to take the less expensive course, which is always assuring. Work was done the following day. We have had no problems since. We were pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness.

My regular heat/air service men were not available. It was the coldest time of the year. Meyer was called as a backup service. He was very prompt, courteous, and conscientious. I would call on them again, our regular service guys have worked on our units before, so we had them order the parts necessary to complete the job.

The service call was answered on a Saturday morning and initial diagnosis performed. The job was too big to do that day and equipment had to be ordered to complete the job. They called to arrange installment of equipment after it arrived. Polite. Responsive. Good quality work.

Meyer Heating & Air conditioning, Inc. billed me for 876.83 for checking the A/C and adding 12 pounds of freon. I phoned
them and asked them why the bill was so high? I also asked them to send me an itemized bill for their charges. They then
sent me a revised bill for 746.93 stateing that they had made a mistake on the billing. This is not cool.

A/C compressor was running but fan was not blowing air through the house. When tech was looking into problem the system started working fine. So he pointed out some likely causes and things to look for to help narrow it down the next time the A/C stopped working. I appreciated that he did not just take some random guesses and start replacing parts that may or may not be bad. I've done tech work before and know that it is hard to determine the problem when the symptoms are not present. He did a great job of explaining everything and was extremely polite and professional. I'll definitely be calling them back if/when our A/C needs servicing in the future.

I called several local companies. Mr. Meyer was the only one who took time to come look at my house and old system. His bid included everything that had to be done to remove the old system and install the new one.
His crew arrived on time and worked the entire day to complete the job. They were friendly, extremely efficient and professional. Mr. Meyer also stopped by at least twice during the day to make sure everything was going smoothly.
His bid was very detailed and the final price was exactly what had been proposed in the bid. I was given four options with details on the components and exact prices. I was able to do further research online and choose the system that I wanted. Mr. Meyer was also honest enough to steer me away from a more expensive system that I had found online as it would have been too much for my house.
Although I doubt if I will need their services any time soon on this new system, I will use them again. I also highly recommend them.

We asked several installers for estimates, after doing some research on several different brands of central air conditioners. I believe we came up with a decent top five or so.
Then we wanted someone local to do the install and the unit to be made in the USA. By that I mean that actually lives and works in New Braunfels, Texas. Several companies have offices or yards here but this was the only one that we interviewed and got a quote from that installed one of the top machines and actually lived in New Braunfels. And the unit was or is actually made in this country not just parts of it put together here.
The interviews and quotes got a bit lengthy, we wanted a central air conditioner that would last, because most have the same, or to close to count the difference, warranties. They inspected our old unit, the attic where it would be installed, the outside old unit and where the pad for the new outside unit would be. The price quoted was all inclusive, no extras and even got a city inspection pulled for us. Most others wanted us to buy extra tests or more expensive units that we could not afford.
I checked the prices against wholesale prices on the Internet and MEYER HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING was the only one within reason.
We did and do still have a bit of sticker shock. But are a lot more at ease now that the new unit is in and running.We had a lot of questions and call backs and this company stuck with us and answered everything. I am sure he was tired of us calling his office about every other day with a new set of questions. Especially after we had just done an interview and gotten a quote from another competitor.

My daughter and I returned home after being gone Spring Break and the house was 83 degrees when we walked in. I was referred to Meyers by a family member and gave them a call. It was 4:50 on a Friday (!) and they could not have been more helpful. They tried to troubleshoot it over the phone, but once it was determined that it could not be fixed remotely - they sent somone out immediately. I cannot recall exactly what they did to replace - A/C is not my interest - but being a single mom, he explained everything he was doing and I did not ever once feel he was trying to oversell a service or any materials. He showed exactly what was wrong, told me the parts and labor cost. It was a great experience!

After two days of 100 degree heat our AC gave out at 10pm. The next morning we called Bubba. He had done work for us in our previous home about 8 years ago but we have not needed him since. By mid-morning it was 88 degrees inside our home and we were concerned for our pets. Bubba came out right after lunch and by 2pm the AC was repaired. The capacitor had gone out and he quickly replaced it. He even remembered us from our previous interactions and knew that we were in a different home. Bubba is pleasant, prompt and efficient. We would not have been surprised if the repair had cost much more but he has always been very fair in his pricing. We highly recommend him!

The service was very professional. Bubba Meyer has been my a/c repairman since 1988. He was a young man working for a big company and had not yet started his own business. As Meyer Heating and A/C, he has done multiple services for me from minor repairs to complete replacement of my heat pumps. His most recent work was installing a unit to cool a computer lab in a professional office. He always has a quick response time with expert work. I would highly recommend him.
