Leisure Pools

*This review is for Leisure Pools New Braunfels location only If you are considering Fiberglass over Gunite pool, carefully consider the reasons because you will NOT save substantially more money by selecting Fiberglass pools. I thought I did my research carefully but, I should have done more. I will summarize my terrible experience with Leisure Pool’s NB location. To start the response time was very poor and this should have been my first red flag, I could expect anywhere between 3- 5 days to hear back on scheduling a quote. Constant miscommunication between sales rep and myself, sales rep and contractors, contractors and corporate. Severe delays, you will be promised this pool can be completed within 30 days and it cannot. My project took a total of about 5 months and the team was condescending and work ethic was below average weeks would go by with not one person onsite. The most disappointing part of my experience is their lack of pride in their work. I had to battle and withhold money to get them to mask some of the concrete blemishes. In the end the pool is finally complete but, it looks OK, not terrible but, not what was promised. I DO NOT recommend Leisure Pool’s for the following reasons; their communication is horrendous and they are unorganized and also very poor customer experience, they were very rude to me and blamed me for things that were not in my control, they actually told me that this is the name of the pool game and I should be happy, they are also taking on too many contracts and they do not have enough contractors to keep up with the work. They don’t have any employees and so they are at the mercy of third-party contractors and they cannot control the prioritization. In short if the contractors have a bigger job or a closer job or an easier job, you will be at the bottom of the list. I was actually told by the project manager that the deadline in the contract is not real and they can do whatever they want. In the end I was emotionally drained and signed off on the final payments because, I just couldn’t battle anymore. This company doesn’t care about their customers. What was supposed to be one of the most exciting experiences has turned into one of our major regrets. Protect yourself and get things like this in written documentation: • Ask if the quote includes fence take down and replacement • Sprinkler system preparation. Leisure promised me they would cut and cap my sprinklers and they did not but, even if they had your sprinkler system will be ruined and need replaced and that costs thousands • Sod-Leisure had no consideration about my lawn, most contractors will have a clear path and stick to that as best they can. Leisure trashed my lawn and gravel and dirt was everywhere. Ask your pool company how they plan to minimize this damage for you. (your grass will be ruined and that will cost thousands to replace) • Get the allotted amount of concrete promised in writing • DO NOT sign or accept a quote unless you have a final design in hand that is signed off by you and contractor • Insist on something in the contract that gives you rights in the event the deadline is not met or the pool does not look as promised. • Plan on emergency cash stash for all of the little things that go wrong.
