The staff at their store are very nice. She took me around and showed me what they had within the price rang I was looking at and I found the one I liked. They were helpful.

Crew arrived within the appointed time. They introduced themselves and got right to the business at hand. They were in and out of the house for 4 days. They were always professional and helpful. Two tiles were broken, but they sent someone to replace them within 24 hours. One of the workers helped show me how to put a bead of caulking around the quarter-rounds placed on the baseboards, as I had decided to prep and paint them myself. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Even before the crew arrived the people in the showroom were thorough and patient as we made our decisions about what to get and how to get it. We had a great experience, and I would recommend Hoffman Floors to anyone looking to use a local company that can do the job well with integrity and professionalism.

The service consultants are excellent. They walked us through all our options and guided us to a great solution. Turnaround time and price was better than Home Depot because we chose carpet from their large in-stock selection. Highly recommend.

They were very good in the show room and directed us toward a product we liked. They were very helpful and were able to complete the work in a timely manner. They were able to offer us a reasonable price within our budget. We were very satisfied with the work they did.

I chose Hoffman floors because of all the great reviews. When I had called, I was told the average cost to carpet a room that size was $1000. Not too bad. I should have taken more time picking out the carpet, but I just took their recommendation because I was really pressed for time. I was in Texas for a short time (I do not live in the house; it is a rental).
The guy arrived promptly to measure the room. When I called to pay for the carpet, they told me the price was $1800 - a bit higher than quoted. I guess I got a higher end carpet and a nicer padding, which I did ask for... so okay.
Before the installers arrived, I removed all the carpet and old padding, but I had an area, about 24 square feet, that was tiled. I had planned on renting a hammer chisel and tearing up the tile myself. Home Depot would not rent me the chisel because I have a US Virgin Islands driver's license, and they could not figure out how to put it in the system. I called Hoffman and they told me it would cost around $100 to $150 for their guys to take up the tile before installing the carpet.
The guys came, tore up the tile and installed the carpet, working within my tight schedule. I was not there, but some family members were. The family complimented the on the look of the carpet and the professionalism of the installers.
Fast forward a few weeks. I am back in Texas and eager to see the floor. I was shocked to see humps in a number of places where the carpet was lifting up! I called Hoffman Floors, but had to leave a message. I was told somebody would call me back. Nobody did. After three days, I called again. This time, I received a prompt callback. They quickly scheduled somebody to come fix the carpet. I once again had to leave before the carpet was repaired, but a family member took my place.
But to add just another little tweak, I received a bill for the removal of the tile.... $271!

Hoffmann's came out and did a walk through of our home, took measurements, and assessed potential problem areas and offered ideas for solutions. They did not have sufficient quantity in stock of the wood laminate flooring we originally picked, but worked with us to find an alternate flooring at close to the same price. Gave us a fairly firm estimate of the total cost. It did turn out that we had to lay a new subfloor in one of the bedrooms which added a bit to the final price, but that was unexpected and in no way reflected on their original bid. Things happen in construction. The crew was very professional and polite and worked really quickly. We replaced 2200 sq ft of flooring and it was a big job. They did a good job moving our furniture and belongings around, covered most everything in plastic to keep the dust off, and swept up every evening. However the dust was a big problem, despite their precautions, and took about a week to completely eradicate after they left. Very, very pleased with our new floor and the job Hoffmann's did. Would definitely recommend them to others and would use them again if needed.

I did not have a whole lot of contact with them so I just went to inspect the work after it was done and everything looked okay. The renters were happy with the work as well.

We found all of the employees at Hoffman's to be very friendly and helpful. Ms. Gail Crawford was exceptionally patient and helpful as we spent several weeks looking at samples, bringing them home, and returning for more samples. We also checked out other potential merchants but ultimately decided on using Hoffman after looking at reviews on Angie's List and not receiving the same level of service. Since Hoffman's installer was incapacitated, our wood was installed by Texas Hardwood Company. Domingo and his crew were totally professional. At one point, Domingo had his crew remove and reinstall a part of the wood because he was not satisfied with the installation. Each of the workers appeared to know their jobs very well and showed considerable interest in doing a professional job. Finally, they worked very efficiently and completed the entire task on time. Would definitely recommend Hoffman and Domingo and his installers.

I will be honest to say I did a little comparative shopping, but the overall package I received at Hoffman's is what sold me. The number of years they have been in business, their guarantee (not just the manufacturer's warranty), the knowledge of carpet products and the fact they have their own installers who have been installing carpet for them for years. Salesman Mark was great. And when there was a defect in two of the room's carpet, the carpet mfg rep came out to inspect, and claimed it as a warranty issue, and I got new carpet in two rooms. No questions asked.

They had a nice selection in stock and we didn't have to wait. They didn't do the work for us.

They did exactly what they indicated they would do, for the price quoted, and on the date we had agreed upon. The floor looks wonderful, and I would use them again.

The salesperson at the store was knowledgeable and VERY patient since we have trouble making up our minds. She didn't push higher priced carpeting on us. When the crew arrived to install, they were courteous and there were enough of them to do the job fairly quickly. The salesperson followed up with a phone call to see how things went. We would use them again.

Was greeted by a very upbeat and happy salesman. Went in to look at ceramic tile, but ended up liking the selection of carpet. Their showroom was user friendly, unlike a few other showrooms I had been in. I literally spend hours there, just looking and writing down carpet styles and colors. Once decided, and my deposit was made, I was kept abreast of the situation as far as timing and availability of my carpet. Installers were extremely professional, and due to some design issues, they had to do extra work before just installing the carpet. Only complaint was that they did not vacuum carpet before leaving, therefore leaving a bit of a mess. There was a flaw in two rooms, in that the dying process at the mill had been flawed. My salesman got a carpet rep out, and new carpet was installed in about two months, with no argument!

Very professional installation. Part of the wood flooring (accessory pieces, thresholds) did not match. Rather than install, Hoffmann handled it perfectly, contacting manufacturer and getting new pieces. Though it delayed the job, the quality is excellent. Always showed up when they said they would and worked overtime to complete on time.

The floors were not as durable as we were led to believe.

Hoffman's gave me an estimate over the phone for the job. We set up a date for the work to be performed. The crew was to call before they came or if they were going to be delayed substantially. When I didn't hear from them by the late afternoon, I called the office. They in turn got in touch with the crew(who had been trying to call me, but were given the wrong area code for my cell.) When the original crew was delayed, the office did send a back up crew. The work was completed quickly once they got there and they did a good job. I would certainly call them again. Once we all realized the phone number error, things went quite smoothly.

It was easy to use this company for new flooring purchase and installation. The price was $1000 less than another store for the exact same hardwood. The flooring arrived when they said it would. The team of installers worked well together and had experience. When they were done they cleaned everything and polished the floors. I was not expected to sign a contract.

We chose the top 3 companies from Angie's List and got quotes. Hoffman was the middle price so we chose them. We were impressed with the showroom selection and salespeople there. The work crew arrived to remove the carpet and prep the concrete floor for the laminate and we were pleased with both the crew and the work done. The next day, a different crew arrived to install the flooring and it was not good: we had blaring music, sloppy work, unprofessional behavior and dirty marks on our freshly painted walls. We were furious. A phone call to the company resulted in someone coming to fix most of the problems but we had to wait over a week for a damaged board to be replaced. The company responded quickly to our complaints and did satisfy us but the whole thing left a bad taste with us. Our floor is beautiful but it was not a good experience. We have more floors to do but not with Hoffman.
