About us

Contemporary, sustainable home design. GB Residential Design is a full-service home and landscape design business with offices in New Braunfels, Texas and San Marcos, Texas. Our projects are most often in the Texas Hill Country - New Braunfels, San Marcos, Wimberley, Canyon Lake, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, Dripping Springs, and basically all areas to the West of i35. We have also worked on projects in Colorado, Waco, Texas, and McAllen, Texas. We specialize in the design of new construction homes, but also work on additions and remodels when the project is a good fit. We guide clients through our design process - Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation, providing clients with: Site Analysis Code Analysis Zoning Analysis 3D Modeling 3D Rendering Construction Documentation - Site Plans, Floor Plans, Roof Plans, Exterior and Interior Elevations, Electrical Plans, Foundation Layouts, and Design Detail Drawings. Garrett Burleson, Assoc. AIA, is an Associate Architect on the path to licensure. He received a Master of Architecture from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University. During this time, he designed and built a tiny home to live in, and owned and operated a successful landscaping company in Waco, TX that he later sold. His background as a ceaseless tinkerer, landscaping business owner, Master of Architecture Student, and Associate Architect gives him the ability to apply creative design principles to weave the design of the home with the design of the landscape and create seamless designs. He has worked for architecture firms in San Antonio, TX, Seattle, WA, and San Marcos, TX. Residential Design has been his focus for the majority of his career. In May of 2022 he hung out his own shingle and began work as a solo practitioner.
