Dave Loveday began building ALL types of fences with his father in 1964 when he was still in high school.In 1972 at the age of 25 Dave started contracting fences in the South and Central Texas area. Dave's father Taught him that he needed to decide if he wanted to be just another fence builder or if he wanted to provide a QUALITY product and SERVICE. Dave decided to stay with the QUALITY product and SERVICE so that he would always have access to consumers that knows that you get what you pay for and that cheaper doesn't always equal BETTER. Dave decided several years ago to stay with mostly residential fences and installs ornamental iron fences , Ornamental Gates iron railings and most other types of Fences. At 64 years old Dave is still going strong and continues to serve this community with the same level of QUALITY AND SERVICE. Please view my web site lovedayfence.net for a lot more information. I replaced him with another crew and they were not dependable and after a few jobs giving them every opportunity to get into my plan I fired them because they were not dependable, in the mean time I am losing a lot of customers because I can t find experienced workers but that is better than getting a bad review."

I called on a Monday, and Dave had a two-man crew at my property the next day. They completed the job expertly and cleaned up thoroughly. Dave had remembered the the job from 25 years ago, and we visited about the ensuring years like old friends. I give him my highest recommendation.

I am happy that you remembered me and I was able to help you with your fence repair. 25 years is a long time for privacy fences to last but the galvanized pipe post and cedar rails and pickets are the best way to get your moneys worth out of a privacy fence. It cost more up front but last a long time as opposed to treated wood fences that do well to last 8 years. Also since I have always tried to help people with small projects because some other contractors will not even talk to anyone with a small project or they charge an astronomical fee to do these types of projects. The whole process was very easy and Dave and I had great communication. He even sent me a daily email on the progress. There were a few hiccups on the job (gates were built the wrong size) but everything was corrected very quickly with zero problem. He uses the best materials available so the fence is very low maintenance and *should never rust. It was truly a pleasure to do business with Dave, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to do fence work.

The install went smoothly with little interruptions. Everyone has commented how nice the fence looked and wanted to know who installed it . There are none like it in the neighborhood. We had one small problem with the workers as they had cut through an existing phone line. I had pointed out exactly where the line was prior to the digging but it still had gotten cut. Dave (owner) quickly responded and had come out to patch it and continued with the installation. We have used Dave to install our fencing at our last home and we were so impressed that we hired them again. Not only is this a reputable company but the key is AFTER the sale. A few months after the fence was completed we had a rainstorm and our phone had a terrible buzzing. We called Verizon and they came out to repair it. They found that the patch that Dave had put in failed and they corrected it. They sent me a bill of $167 since it was clear that it was not the phone line. I contacted Dave and he said "send me the bill and I will take care of it". That is the mark of a true professional that stands behind his work. I will continue to tell everyone I know ,to contact Loveday Fencing if you want a beautiful fence with quality workmanship and an owner that cares about customer service.

Dave's quick response and excellent service is commendable. I had called several fencing companies and none would do any work on a project that involved less than 30 feet. Our job only involved approximately 16 feet of 2 metal gates and metal fencing on the sides of the gates. Dave came out, took measurements and manufactured the items as needed. Considering that I had requested this project right before Thanksgiving, his being able to complete before Christmas holidays is especially of note. Took just 2 days--one to set the posts in concrete and the next to finish.
I know he mentioned that he wishes to retire, but do hope that he continue. His being available to us that have "small" projects, that other companies won't even consider, is a blessing. A definite A+ in service and quality.

I will just take a little more time off during the summer months but I will still have people taking care of things while I am away. One reason I do the small jobs is because they always lead to large jobs. This is future advertising for me. contractors that refuse to do small jobs don t realize how much business they loose because the loose the referral from the small job. Dave himself came to my house within 2 hours of my call to him; I had explained that my gate quit responding to the keypad and remote, so he "tweaked" the settings until it worked. Apparently it had somehow gotten out of adjustment, and he was able to fix it within 30 minutes. There was no charge for this service. This experience served to remind me of why I had hired Dave Loveday
in the first place.

We had a great experiences. Dave communicated with us in timely manner. Dave took the time to answer our questions and provided suggestions. Dave is very responsive. He answered our e-mail within 48 hours, often time the same day. He continuously provided updates on what would be done next few days and when the project would be completed.
His workers are very professional. Joe and his son put the poles in and installed the panel. We had lots of trees and they kept the cutting to the minimum. Michael installed the doors; he explained to me what he would be doing before he started. After the fence was installed, Dave took the time to help us tie one of the branches away from the fence (we thought we would need to cut that branch!). We are very happy with the quality of the fence and would recommend him without hesitation

Called Dave the previous Wednesday. He was extremely helpful, gave me all the information needed and a tentative price over the phone - finalized after he came out and saw the work. Called him back Thursday morning, he came out that afternoon and I contracted his services. He started work on Friday and finished Monday. The work included all galvanized fence poles, 1 X 6 cedar pickets and cedar rails, and a gate. Work also included a bottom 2 X 6 treated rail to keep the cedar pickets off the ground and protect from the weedeater. I am probably pretty picky with fence work, and want a level, tightly put together fence. Got all I wanted and more. Dave's crew, Joe and his son, did an outstanding job making sure the pickets were straight and level and tightly butted to each other. Just total quality work from start to finish. I would and will recommend Dave to anyone and definitely contract him again should I need additional fence work.

I did a lot of research and I knew what to expect from Dave and his crew. Well they surpassed my expectations with such great work. We asked Dave to install a black pipe fence in the backyard so our new puppy could have a safe area to play in. Dave and his crew were meticulous and very neat. The fence looks incredible! I would recommend Dave to anyone. He is the best!

It went wonderfully just as I expected - you see I did my research ahead of time and knew of Dave's reputation. Be patient until his crew gets to your job and it will be well worth it. He if fair, responsive, and downright kind. His crew are a bunch of very hard working and respectful people and it was obvious everyone involved cared a great deal about doing an excellent job and keeping me happy.
Dave gave me great advice in areas where I wasn't certain how things should go. He was extremely flexible when issues with utilities, the city and the neighbors crept up.
I figured things would turn out well and I'm glad I wasn't disappointed. I am now the envy of my whole neighborhood!

Gate installed with gate opener, which wasn't installed properly, gate dragged on cement driveway, called Dave and he said he was retired but would call me back which he never did.

"In response to this complaint , First , the complainer did not call me It was a man that I spoke to so this is third hand information. I went over there and looked at the situation, I did not install the post for the gate. The customer did not want to pay for installing my post so I used the customer s existing post. The gate and opener worked properly for several months without a problem and I assume that it still is. I did go by and I noticed that someone had tried to make some adjustments to the gate. The problem is not the gate . The problem is that the gate post was not set deep enough by whom ever installed the original fence and gate. Since the customer has a small dog I had to keep the gate low to the driveway. Also the type of soil in the driveway is the type that can swell when it rains a lot. I am happy to fix the problem by installing a brace to strengthen the customers existing post, however, the problem is not with the gate, or gate opener. Also, I am not sure that the actual customer is a member of Angie s list but is a relative of hers and this project is totally separate from the complainer s very large fence and gate project of which she has had no complaints. I assume that she is complaining about a problem for someone else. Once again, The problem is not with anything I did or did not do and is outside of the scope of what the project consisted of."
