Every promise that the owner, Carlos Mercado, made from start to finish was either false, late, or needed an excuse. I was very excited about the remodel and hiring him after looking at 2 other companies, one of which was Lowe's. He rushed me to sign the contract and down payment so that his crew could begin that week. That sounded perfect. The crew started the next day with the demo of the bathroom. No tub was involved. After the initial demo, any other work that occurred at my property was initiated by me. My bathroom sat demolished for about 3 weeks with no progress. I had to constantly call to get forward progress which was difficult because of my job. They had open access to my house, so lack of access was not a reason. I asked if they were going to cover the flooring that was brand new throughout the house. Carlos assured me that it would be. It was not. I'm still cleaning up paint and Spackle from the floor. The entire process was a huge disappointment even though the final product is decent. I gave him my first deposit on Jan. 13th. He finally finished these small rooms on April 25th. Each time I talked to him, he made it seem like he was doing a favor for a poor, single mother. That is far from the truth. I negotiated a price and if he did not think he could do it at that price, I asked that he not accept. He begged me to take on this project. I paid on time but had to threaten to withhold funds to get progression to occur. I could go on and on with what I had to do to get this project completed, but I don't have the time to waste on Kitchen and Bath Solutions and A+ Home modifications. Just ask to see your permits! Whoever wrote the other two short, reviews is probably his immediate family. Not the kind of working relationship I wanted to have. If I had to do it again, I would go with Lowes. The price was double but I'll bet the timeline of 4-6 weeks would have been on target.

The new shower looks great and is high quality. Carlos and his team did an excellent job! Everything turned out better than I could have imagined. They were very respectful of my house and always put paper down on the floors. They also cleaned up every day when they were finished working. The guys were very polite. I would definitely hire again for future remodels.
