Sam's Lawn Service

All went well - with the exception of it taking a while for him to follow up to get his payment. I called to reiterate that we were home and his company should stop mowing. He called back and we re-negotiated payment terms (as they had mowed an additional time). Sam did finally come to collect - about two weeks after job was complete.

They do a very good job and they are very professional.

Lawn was cut and trimmed as requested for $35. However, when asked for weed and feed initial price was $65 (my lawn is around 2000 sqf). Then the next year, I asked again and he increased the price to $75. The reason he said was that he had to use more than one bag. I checked the store and 1 bag of weed and feed is roughly $20-25 for $5000sft. I felt that he was charging way too much. I asked for mulch and trimming bushes quotes. Mulch pricing was comparable but trimming bushes was $30. I decide to discontinue service. I found someone else that cut and trimmed the lawn for $25 and trimmed the bushes for $10, weed and feed was free as long as I provide the bag.

It's been over 2 months and the requested work on the driveway and flowerbeds still has not been done even though I contacted the owner over a month ago and we went over the details again.  He claimed to have misunderstood  my directions and then increased the cost to $50 from $40 because he was supposed to mow the entire fenceline along the road, not just in the yard.  It's been a very frustrating experience so I am looking for another lawn service.

They are dependable and they almost always show up on the time they saw they will. In the winter you need to make sure they are coming at the right times. They do a nice job and are very quick.
