I don't know much about automotive work. He could have taken me to the cleaners. But, he didn't. He charged me $40 to replace a battery cable. He seems like an actually honest mechanic. I will definitely go back for service.

Car was overheating and AC not blowing cold air. Both fans had gone out...he diagnosed and got me a price the same day.. Parts came in the next morning and I was back on the road 24 hours later. He even shopped around to get me the best price on the fan parts. Thanks!

I have been using Jason 'Red' Ray as my mechanic for three years now, and I have not been disappointed. The last time I had to take my car in, I had to have it towed because it was completely dead. He looked at it and told me that the timing belt had broken and it would cost $450 to repair it. At the time I was driving a 12 year old Ford Escort. He gave me his honest opinion that if it were him, he wouldn't repair it, he'd just buy a new car. I decided to do that and buy a new car. He would not take any money from me for looking over the car, which I know took a lot of time and effort. I could have made $250 off the car if I scrapped it, but Jason wanted to buy the car, so I sold it to him for $150, which is like paying him $100 to look at my car for me. It's the least I could do.

rRed does awesome work! He is fast, accommodating, and his prices are
more than responsible. If you got electrical issues he REALLY knows his
stuff. He has worked on my Element with 150,000 miles many times now.

He is local. He is former dealership mechanic. He did a little work on my car and got me going pretty quick. It was the first time I used him. He got right on the job and his price was reasonable.
