Manz Tires

The owner of the business was the only person there when I arrived and he proceeded to sell me tires that wouldn't have passed an inspection, which I stated was a necessity.  I asked him what the minimum tread depth was for state inspection and he provided inaccurate information just to attempt to sell me the tires.  I decided to purchase one just to get by until I could get a tire somewhere else.  After digging through his storage room he pulled out a tire that looked good in the dim light of the fading day but ended up being dry rotted and giving out on me just a couple days later.  To add to the inconvenience of the bad tire, he scratched my alloy wheel when he lost his grip on the pry bar while struggling with the tire.  I called him after finally finding his number
on the U-Haul website, which I had to resort to because he did not have a phone book listing.  He told me to bring the tire by and he would take a look at it and see what he could do.  When I took the tire to him he was not helpful in the least and actually became quite combative, even using harsh language and walking away from me to "cool down", when I demanded my money back due to him selling a tire that he should have been professional enough to know not to sell.  To make a long story short, my experience with Manz Tires was completely appalling and I will be reporting him to the BBB.
