Accurate Foundation

When we first requested an estimate they sent out a guy who gave us an estimate, then later on they said he wasn't qualified to give an estimate and had to let him go.  Later on this same guy was rehired. (first clue)  Finally got estimate for foundation, crew showed up, contractor was supposed to be on site about noon,  never showed up.  When questioned said he was a very important man!  (second clue)  Finally his brother (John) came in his place.  Did foundation, seemed like a good job but now house is separating and whole second floor has a slope from front to back that seems to be getting worse.  They did a concrete slab for 16/x16 shed, a sidewalk in back with concrete steps & small patio off back door which is now chipping where concrete meets house.  Then they subcontracted with Astro electric company to completely rewire old two story Victorian, when work was mostly completed asked for final payment then never came back, it took electrical company 3 months to come pull old wires, never got all promised outlets and the electrical company let the permit expire & it never had final inspection done and here we sit!

This whole review is probably a mote point because they lost their business because of drugs, but I would be careful that they don't start up another business under a different name!

They weren't responsive to calls, were frequently unavailable and finally just disappeared altogether.  And John had the audacity to show up about a year later to see if we wanted any more work done! Fat chance!

Sections of the home maybe somewhat structurally compromised because of what they've done. We've also had problems - gaps, cracks - that have occurred in the year since their work. The house has been in the family for over 70 years & we have never had these problems before. I've been in contact with them to try & correct the problems - They've stopped returning contact. After a point I filed a complaint with the BBB & am waiting to hear back.

Updated:  The BBB was not much help.  This company has a pattern of telling you things that are wrong with your foundation to get you to spend more money with them.  And they do not honor their warranties.
