Over the past 20 years we have dealt with a number of Heating & Air companies in the DFW area. The companies we have used range from decent to downright awful. I feel like we have now struck gold in finding Tri County Air Care (If we understand it correctly, the company was formerly known as Tri County Heat & Air, but adopted the current name after merging with another company). In our opinion Tri County Air Care is an exceptional company. We recently replaced all three of our Heating and AC units with more efficient, high-tech systems, and in the process we got to meet most of the individuals working for the company. From the friendly ladies who answer the phones all the way to the owners of the company, we have found everyone to be courteous, friendly, professional, competent and genuinely concerned about our problems. They are extremely responsive, which is very important in the hot Texas summers, and they take calls on the weekends which many companies do not. We don’t know if their prices are the lowest around, but they are definitely fair and reasonable and lower than several we have used. They are concerned about cost to the customer and customer service, and they have shown that they will come back promptly to resolve any problems. Highly recommended if you are in their service area.

The guys were professional and quick, they installed all the necessary ducts, added the return valves and did an amazing job. They even told me that if I felt some room has bad air flow to call them and they can come and tweak it. They found that one of the joint did not require to be replaced and reduced my bill by that amount.  They seem reliable and definitely earned my future business.
I can feel immediate improvement in my living room.

Russell, Kevin and their full crew arrived early to install a "virtual zone" in our HVAC system which allows one HVAC unit to provide different temperature controls in 2 different areas. In this case, a new thermostat was installed in our bedroom which by use of an electronically controlled dampering system, allows the bedroom temperature to be controlled independently from the family room temperature. This required the installation of a new plenum box and a damper as well as the re-routing and reconstruction of some of our duct work.
The guys were very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. They completed the job in far less time than we expected, and cleaned up the area nicely. The new system works as advertised, and the prices were reasonable given the amount of work to be done. We had not used them before, but we would highly recommend them to anyone needing heat and/or A/C work done.

Our new home A/C system failed after 9 years. I tried Tri-County because they are located in Murphy. Russell came out and confirmed the system was low on refrigerant. He inspected the system and spotted a leak in the coils in the attic (could not be repaired due to poor building contractor-grade U-frame cooling coils [avoid these at all costs] and installation); he was unable to determine the magnitude of the leak so he charged the system and said it could very well last for a couple of months (into the fall). The leak was sufficient that system failed in about a week. Russell and I had gone over some options during the initial visit and when I called him 10 days later, I told him what I wanted and he came out and recharged the system (no fee) and we agreed on the final pricing and terms. Russell and his team were out a couple of days later installing the new system. This was the hardest working bunch of folks I've seen from a service company that has to deal in some really unpleasant environments (hot!). They had the complete HVAC system installed in 5 hours and the 2500sf house cold about 30 minutes later, in August heat! I had Russell come out for the annual inspection after the first year and he said it all looked fine, pressures were good and he said that since he didn't have to do anything, there was no charge.

Russell knows air conditioning. I know enough to be dangerous and we talked about SEER, quality of products, good installation practices, etc. Russell offered replacement options at varying pricing levels, all with no high pressure sales tactics. Russell is not a sales guy that makes the sale and then moves on when the workers come in. Russell and his partner and others on his team were all out here installing our system themselves.

Russell came to our home and spent 3+ hours checking our 3 systems and air flow not only in the upstairs, but also in the remainder of the house. He called that evening with a tiered solution plan that started with the most cost effective solution and worked up to additional options only if needed. Him and his team came out a week later to perform the work and spent over 2 hours adjusting the airflow and determined several issues with the original installation that were causing the upstairs airflow problems. Based on implementing the first phase of their solution, they raised the airflow in the troubled bedroom over the garage from around 80 CFM to over 350 CFM. Knowing we were having insulation added, Russell recommended we wait as this was the least cost effective solution and was focused on giving us the most effective solution for the lowest cost. Incredible! He is now our first call and we will be using him and Kevin proactively to care for our systems every spring to maintain and keep our surprises to a minimum and efficiency to a maximum. Highly recommend Russell and Kevin at Tri-County Heat and Air!

I have used them a number of times. I just give those guys a key to my house and they just go in on their own. They are A's all the way.

I did a fair amount of research on the A/C unit. Tri-county was a dealer of this product and I have had excellent service from them in the past so I went ahead and used them. We have had no problems.

One night one of our outside A/C units started to make a horrible noise. Tri-County came out and diagnosed and repaired the problem the next day. I have used them many times and anticipate using them again in the future.
