He asked for three increments of $16,000 each.  And he had charged me $50,500 only after 1/3 of the work was completed.  Nobody had worked on anything for a long period of time.  He said he couldn't get anybody to come out and do the work.  He overcharged me for paint.  And didn't have any of the equipment needed to complete the job, and made me go out and buy it.  I asked him to put in recess lighting, and he refused to do it.  I asked him to put in covers, and he didn't even know what they were.  I had to ask the contractor to do it.  He seemed unfit for the job.  He didn't label the breaker boxes.  They caved the roof in, in several places. Now, water is leaking into the house.  He put a window in the bathroom and never sealed it, and the window began to leak.  He never called when he was going to come and he just showed up unexpected.  He broke the door to the spare bedroom.  He was very unprofessional, and didn't follow up with any of the work the contractors did.  They always seemed like they were in the bad mood.  It was just an overall really bad experience.  I offered to work with them on price, and he severely over-charged me on everything.  He screwed me out of a lot of money.
