I called Kevin as he had done some finish carpentry for me installing base moulding and trim in my bonus room above my garage. He had done a good job, so now three years later I figured I would call him to see if he did porch work. I found out he does so asked him to come and have a look.
I planned on providing the lumber, and just wanted the cost of the work. Kevin did the measurements and told me what I would need to replicate the rail and spindles. Lumber cost came in under $400.00 delivered.
He quoted me a price, saying it may be more, but the price was in my estimation a good one.
I ordered the lumber, and called Kevin when it arrived. We then scheduled for him to start work on a Monday. He showed up at 7AM and worked until 2:30PM in the heat of the day. He finished the work the next morning.
Final price from Kevin brought the project to under $1000.00.
