"Dear [Member Name Removed], Thank you so much for this sterling review. You lifted my spirits so very much. I have tried so hard to make everyone please with the work I do. I wish they were all as understanding as you have been. It was a great pleasure working for you. Your beautiful garden was inspirational for me to come up with the ideas for the project. Thank you again."
"[member name removed] in the beginning when we first met, I was busy and set a time to schedule you in. If you remember you and your boyfriend went out of town for well over a month. We had no access to the house. Once you came back into town I moved some of my clients around to accommodate you. I had full crews working on your rental property. Yes I did have a problem with the men who I sent out first to paint the interior of your rental. I did bring a new crew out and paid them to fix the problem and make things right with you. Which I felt we had made right with you. I personally worked there all the way up to the final day when your new tenant moved in. I hauled away a trailer full of junk from that house, at no charge to you. I did everything you wanted and then some to make up for the time lost by the first crew. You told me your self you were very pleased with all of the work done for you, plus that you would give me a Good Review. That was one the last day when your tenant was moving in. I did try and get over there to fix that sheet rock in the garage. But each time nobody was there to let me in. This was over nine months ago. After trying so man times I ended up busy with other jobs. I never did get any calls from you. I would have taken care of the items left. I will still honor our agreement and fix the sheet rock. I am sorry you had to resort to this bad review. I did 97% of your work at 100% satisfaction. but get an F for not finishing that one small repair. I went way above and beyond to satisfy you in what we did finish. You paid me the last amount owed on that final day. You told me your self that you would give me a good review on that final day."
"This review comes as a complete surprise me. This job took place last summer, Quit frankly I feel like a scape goat in this. Will lets start with your comment on being stretched too thin. Yes I had other jobs going when I started yours. When I started your job I made sure to be there myself each and every day. I had any where from two to as many as four men working there, every day. I would show up and line them out for the day. I also had a lead man who kept things going. I was not always able to stay all day. In fact I was doing many projects with people who signed up for me to do work on their homes. This was done through Angie's List. Which I shared that with you. Next I would like to point out that after my men had done all of the heavy lifting of the project which we had a contract on. You decided to bring in a new contractor to install a concrete slab for your new patio. You asked me to work with the new guy. I agreed. Problem was, he more doubled the size of the project, but he also talked you into letting him do all of the patio project. At this point I had done the work I contracted with you for, not to mention a lot of extra work your "New" contractor caused. I did this work out of my pocket, plus paid my men those last few weeks out of my pocket. I know your wife had gotten sick, so I did everything I could to help you. If anything, it was your call to bring in the new contractor, his men made the miss on your neighbors property, he doubled the size of it. That is when I said I had enough. I told you from the very beginning I do not do concrete work. I felt my method of installing the patio would have been fine. You decided to let this other guy take over. You did not have to hire me if you wanted to have a concrete base. Then to bring this new guy in when we were ready to start installing the patio, That was an insult to me. Not to mention your neighbor constantly talking like she was some kind of expert. I have 30 years in this business, I do not know of any contractor who likes having the home owner bring in another contractor to do his work and expect them to work with the new guy. I did nothing wrong here, If it dragged out then it is you and the new guy, not me."
"This is another compliant which I am surprised at. I was called to look at two downstairs bedrooms which had some mold growing on the walls. The owner was worried that there may be mold growing in the walls. I gave the owned a bid to remove the sheetrock and to take care of any of the mold inside the walls. Then install new dry wall, tape float and texture, plus paint. To me that was going to be a simple quick job. But once we opened these walls. not only did we find a lot of mold. but active termites as well. There was so much damage that we had to jack up his house to install new lumber for his walls. Keep in mind this is a three story house. Then we found that there was an existing flooding problem due in part to the golf course he lives on and his neighbors retaining wall diverting a lot of water into his house. This was just the beginning of a mess which took a long time to fix. So many extras that I literally gave up on keeping track of. To a point I have not made any money on this job at all. I have worked so hard to help this man get his house in order. All of the trips and paperwork to the POA. There is not enough room here to list all that I have done on this house. I will tell you this $35K is a real bargain to the $50K it should have cost. I am still working on this house, out of my pocket doing work that was never on my bid."
"Dear [member name removed], I understand your frustration, as a contractor I pride myself on making all of my appointments. This is one area as a contractor I was always concerned with, especially when I go out on an appointment and hear over and over again how other contractors never showed up. After we had spoke and made arrangements to meet. I was involved in a serious car accident.I was rear ended by two pick up trucks. this resulted in me having to go to Houston VA hospital to get my back and neck checked out. I ended up staying for almost three days.Once I got home I came down with some kind of virus which kept me in bed for two more days. I truly am sorry for missing our appointment. I missed several of them on account of this accident. Not to mention the jobs I had in progress suffered too because I was unable to be there. I know first hand your frustration and again I would like to make it up to you. Thank You Brian D. Evans Evans Construction Services LLC"
"Dear [Removed name], I understand your frustration in my not being able to get to your job. I did in fact reschedule your job two different times. The first reason was a job we had been working on had gone into extra time because the homeowner had added a lot of extra work onto the existing contract. The second reason, the morning I was going to your house to start, I was involved in a serious car accident. I was rear ended by two pick up trucks on the 105 and FM 2854 at 7:20 in the morning. This accident resulted in having to spend nearly three days in the VA Hospital in Houston, with back and head injuries. I have two hair line cracks on two vertebrates and a massive headache. On top of this I was down for a few days with some kind of virus. [Removed name], you were very nice to me when I came by to meet with you the first time. I wanted more than any other job to be there and help you fix up your home. I am very sorry to have let you down. Thank You Brian D. Evans Evans Construction Services LLC"

"I do understand his being upset. I did have a major medical issue. My wife had a heart attack which resulted in heart surgery. I am more than willing to refund his money. However if there is a chance for me to make this up to Mr. Eggert i would like to free of charge."
"Thank You so much for you kind review. It was my pleasure to work for you on your projects. I also enjoyed meeting you and your husband. I hope to work with you in the future."
