I called Matthew Broussard to come and give me an estimate on weekly pool service back in April of 2014.  I left a message for Matthew and he promptly returned my call.  He was able to make an appointment to come out and look at my pool to determine if he would be able to care for it.  He arrived for the appointment right on time and was very professional, knowledgeable and fair with his pricing.  I hired him to come on a weekly basis.
At the time I hired Matthew, I was having a problem with yellow algea that my previous pool service provider was unable to get rid of.  Matthew immediately came in and took care of the problem.  He even came back to check on the problem periodically (a couple of extra times) during the week to make sure what he was doing was working and the problem was getting better.  Within a couple of weeks, my pool water was balanced, clear, and blue.  My pool water has never looked better and has never felt better.
Matthew conscientiously vacuums your pool, cleans the skimmer baskets, cleans your pool bag and balances your water.  He is wonderful about cleaning up after himself.  He never leaves your home until everything is just perfect and your pool and decking is left in pristine shape.  He writes a thorough report to keep you up to date on the condition of the water and equipment, and lets you know if anything may arise.  If something does come up and it is something he can fix, he does so and is very fair in his pricing.  He cleaned my pump filters (we have DE filters....which make a huge mess when you clean them....) yet I couldn't even tell he had done it.  That's how well he cleans up after himself.
Matthew's communication is wonderful.  There are never any surprises as he always calls me if there is anything that needs attention. He is always reachable by phone if you need him.  If you have to leave a message, he promptly returns your call.
All these things being said....the bottom line is....my pool has never looked better since Matthew has been caring for it.  I am so happy to have found him to service our pool.  It has made things so much easier for me, and my family enjoys a clean, well taken care of and balanced pool.  Matthew is the best pool service provider I have ever had!

I have used Matthew for a couple of years now.  Before I had them cut down, large trees in my backyard dropped all their leaves into the pool each fall.  When I first called Matthew, the pool was in in bad shape and I needed help scooping out all the leaves.  He took care of everything, replaced some broken parts on my filter system and got the pool back in shape.  I did not have to follow up or remind him of anything.  Since then he continues to stay on top of any issues.  What I like about him the most is that he meets his commitments, is honest and fair in his business.

We moved into a new house with a pool which hadn't been maintained in a month.  There was a fairly substantial amount of green algae growth.  Knowing absolutely nothing about pool maintenance, I called Matthew after reading great reviews on Angie's List.  We made an appointment for the following week and Matthew showed up within 30 minutes of the scheduled appointment (he did call to let me know he'd be running late).
When he got here, he spent some time educating me about maintenance and explaining what would be done to remove the algae growth.  He got to work right away and came back twice that week to completely remove all the algae from the pool.  In three days the algae was removed and the pool looks fantastic.
I found Matthew to be very responsive - he responds to texts and emails whenever you need him (although I try not to bug him too much).  We've had a lot of work done on the new house and dealt with many maintenance people and contractors.  Matthew has been the most pleasant to deal with and never felt like he was trying to "rip us off" by selling unnecessary services or nickel and diming.  We definitely plan on using him for all our pool maintenance needs.

They are on Angie's List.  He's been responsive and he's done a nice job of keeping the pool clean.  We've subscribed him for pool service.

Matthew is great! He is very courteous and responsive. He always leaves us a note when he comes by stating what he did along with the pool chemistry numbers. When we first started using Matthew we had a horrible green algae problem that had developed before we moved in. After trying to take care of it myself for over a month I gave Matthew a call. He came out and got it straightened up in a couple of weeks and got the pool good for use before the end of the summer so we could enjoy it. We also had a small leak in a pipe fitting coming out of the pool pump. He assessed it, ran the options by me, and we agreed on him fixing it. It ended up being a simple fix and swap out of a fitting, so Matthew did not charge me and just included it as part of our first months service.
We will keep Matthew as our pool guy as long as he provides services and have been very happy. For the winter months we may switch down to the cheaper option of having just the pool chemistry maintained, then reup the full service in the summer months when we start using the pool again. Matthew is very flexible on his services.

Matthew has been providing pool service for about a month and a half. He keeps things working and the chemistry correct. He comes when he says he will and keeps me well informed.
I could not ask for more.

We moved into our house in November and basically ignored our pool all winter.  In May, we figured it was time to learn how to maintain our pool.  We called Matthew based on several positive recommendations from our neighborhood, and he has gone above and beyond our expectations.  We were about to spend money on "pool school" from a local retailer.  Matthew showed us everything we needed to know about our pool, the system and chemical balance.  
His goal was to make our pool sparkly clean and chemically balanced, and we were able to achieve that goal in a few short weeks.  He comes every week and looks over our system (pumps and parts) cleans all the filters and adds chemicals.  He leaves a detailed note letting us know what was done.  If he shocks the pool, he calls me to let me know when it will be safe to get in the pool.  We had a leak in our pump that he fixed for no charge.  Whenever a part has failed (and the pool is old so things are starting to crack and need replacement), he is there the very next day with the part. 
Matthew is a gentleman and a pleasure to work with.  When our pool got out of whack over Memorial weekend, he made an extra visit during the week (no charge) to double check the chemicals before the weekend.

UPDATE:  Matt continues to provide awesome service!  Recently, our pump began to malfunction.  Matt immediately notified us, recommended a repair person and arranged to have that person come over and assess the 'damage.'  Matt informed us of the repair costs and estimated time to complete.  The job was completed as promised and the pool is in excellent condition.  We continue to strongly recommend Matt to other customers needing dependable, capable and friendly pool service.

The pool is now a pleasure to look at every day and I have retained Matthew for regular service.

Matthew is a wonderful person.  He has helped us figure out and maintain an old pool in the house we moved into.  He does a fantastic job, is kind and helpful.  He deserves our highest praise.

Matt was an excellent pool service guy when I needed one to handle my mother-in-law's pool.  It had gotten bad after the last servicer was not retained and Matt jumped right in there and got the repairs fixed timely and had us back on our feet.  He did a wonderful job for us however I was a little disappointed how we were dismissed and he no longer wanted to service the pool after we agreed to new service terms and prices.  May be we weren't meant to be partners on this endeavor.  Matt made a business decision and I respect him for that and would recommend him to others.

AWESOME!  Matthew showed up when promised and performed an initial assessment of the condition of our (long ignored) pool, spa and pump.  He initially visited when we were away and immediately called and gave me a detailed explanation of his assessment of the current condition of the pool and peripheries, his recommendation of steps we needed to follow to get the pool in a serviceable/usable condition and his cost estimate. He was certain he could 'recover' the pool but warned us it could take up to two-three weeks.  He returned frequently (sometimes daily) to ensure the pool was clearing up.  Now, about two weeks since Matthew's first visit, the pool is crystal clear.  Matthew is honest, dependable and just a great guy.  We have decided to retain his services to ensure our pool stays in good condition.  We strongly recommend Matthew Broussard Pool Services.

Angie's list helped us once again select a service to meet our needs.  Matthew is professional, pleasant, and provides a reliable and excellent service.  He responded to our needs in a timely manner with a solution that worked for a reasonable price.  We were so impressed with Matthew that we decided to contract with him for routine pool service.  The monthly fee includes chemicals - and given what we were spending at the pool store during the summer months - we probably are saving monies.

I contacted Matthew because I was not happy with the service I was receiving from my pool company.  Matthew came out the same day gave me an estimate, cleaned the pool and added chemicals that were needed.  He was very thorough and explained what he would be doing weekly to keep the pool in shape.   My pool was sparkling when he finished.   I signed up for weekly maintenance and the pool looks great

He did a fantastic job turning my green (almost frog pond like) pool back to the point where I can start swimming again.  The only small issue I had with his work was that he initially said that he could turn the pool around without draining any water but he ended up draining half of the pool.  Other than that he has been a pleasure to work with.  He is very punctual and has good communication with me.  If he is not able to make it to an pool maintenance appointment, he always calls and lets me know.  During my comparison with other pool companies, I noticed that he was slightly (10%) more expensive than the average quote but a lot less than the big name pool companies.  So far, I not only do not have any complaints about him but I am very happy with the work he has done with my pool.  I would definitely use his service in the future and recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

I've found the best pool service hands down! The pool is sparkling clean, and always swim-ready thanks to a workman who takes pride in a job well done. We are extremely happy with his work ethic. He works really hard and always has a smile and good attitude. Look no further... Call this guy. The $149/month we pay is well worth the money.
