DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!! These crooks quoted $225 to install my gas-log assembly BASED ON A COMPLETE SET OF PICTURES that I emailed them of the assembly AT THEIR REQUEST. They then had me e-sign a full contract and collected a $125 deposit to schedule the work. The technician arrived today, took one look at the EXACT hardware from the pictures that I sent them, and immediately proclaimed that the only thing that he was here to do was to 'connect the gas line.' That proclamation started a 30-minute quagmire of hostile phone calls with Company leadership that resulted in their sending the technician home with NO WORK BEING PERFORMED, and further resulted in their repeatedly shaming me for my anger given that there were other customers in the area with broken pipes and no water from the recent ice storm that they were somehow ignoring in order to provide me with the service that THEY scheduled for today. They have further refused to refund the $125 deposit and move on from this terrible situation, suggesting that I take even more time off of work to meet them at the house at a later date for the install that they should have performed today per the contract to which we agreed in writing. So, I'm out $125, I've taken off unnecessary time from work, I have been treated like crap by an unprofessional business, and I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!
Response from Britton WaterWorks Plumbing
"The only elevated conversation was when you felt compelled to scream at the office admin regarding the scope of work. Your message for request for services specifically states "All that I need professionally installed is the gas components. I can install the grate, logs, rocks, sand, and burning embers." We were on video call and heard the demeaning behavior towards the technician and office admin. Based on this behavior, we made a decision to remove the technician from the property as their is no need to work under such distress. You were not shamed for the angry elevated behavior, it just was unnecessary and will not be tolerated. The interpretation of the events are embellished and we wish you the best. Your $125 deposit has been refunded."

Britton was very professional. They came in assessed the situation and communicated their results. They did not pressure me in to a decision and that was helpful. We were able to get the hot water heaters put in and the old heaters were removed in a smooth operation.

Travesty, to put it lightly. This company is utterly terrible. DO NOT USE THEM. Their price is great. Their work is great. But their professionalism and punctuality is abysmal at best. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Steer clear. I would give them a grade less than an F if one existed. Oh wait, it does - W, withdraw since they never show up. As I said, DO NOT HIRE THEM.

"Please note: this individual filed a formal complaint with the Texas State Plumbing Board and no violations were found and the complaint was closed. We had proof the job was completed to code and passed City inspection."

It went great from start to finish! First of all LADIES ask for Zelena. I was upset when I called. Million questions. Zelena understood right away both from a woman's perspective as well as a professional perspective. She is one of.the owners and a licensed.plumber. Knows what she is talking about. Great communication between all staff and myself. Appt..times kept. This company is run so efficiently. All employees very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Excellent, professional job done! I highly recommend them!! D Brown Sugar Land, TX

AWESOME! Very punctual, thorough & great prices. It was an emergency call, at 10 PM on a Saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised that someone answered and took care of me right there and then. Excellent from beginning to end. I highly recommend this company!

I submitted a request for service through the "Deal" section of this site to this company on 9/25. It stated URGENT. First you have to pay these folks a $150 non refundable deposit to get them to come out. Someone came out 9/26, cleared the A/C condenser line and charged me an additional $120 but did not fix the leak in the cast iron pipe in the ceiling of my powder room that I called about. I waited for an estimate on that cost and received it 8 days later on an urgent request. Mind you, the ceiling is constantly leaking in the meantime, smells terrible and if let go too long will flood into my living room where I have recently replaced the flooring. Because this pipe gets flooded it backs up water in other pipes and I have multiple leaks occurring in multiple ceilings. Had to pay a $350 non refundable deposit to get the work scheduled for that estimate. A technician came out today 10/9, 14 days after submitting an URGENT request for service and I'm told he wasn't there to fix the problem today, only to get a materials list together. I call the office of this company because clearly their definition of Urgent and my definition of Urgent comes from completely different dictionaries! They send their head technician out, so they're going to go ahead and fix it today. After the head technician leaves, the technician here to do the work falls suddenly ill and has to leave. The ceiling is still leaking, I'm in Houston, TX with the A/C off as it makes the problem worse, I have no work being done and no idea when they are coming back. But they have a non refundable deposit so here I am with no a/c, ceilings leaking, can't use showers, only one toilet in the house is not going to come thru a ceiling somewhere and no choice but to sit here and wait or lose that money and call someone else. The technician is a nice guy, the ladies in the office are friendly and responsive to the calls and the plea for help and are the ONLY reason this review isn't receiving an F. If they are slammed with work and unable to get to a customer in a hurry when the request says URGENT, they need to state that and not take the job!! Nor the money!! I am extremely upset about this experience and feel like this company does not care about the family living in this house with this problem. I will never use them again nor can I recommend them to anyone. So for this next question "Was money paid or were services performed" Well, Money was definitely paid but I can't seem to get them to perform the service.
Response from Britton WaterWorks Plumbing
"In the construction industry, it is common to pay a deposit for work to be performed. Our technician was there to perform a leak detection service to determine what repair would be needed, due to a leak between the 1st and 2nd floor. The additional cost for the AC condensate drain cleaning was additional work that was needed at your property, which was performed with your approval. The problem with the cast iron pipe between the 2 floors was found to be the issue, which could not be performed the same day. An estimate for this repair was provided for your review and/or approval. Upon receipt of the approval, a technician was dispatched for the repair. The day of the repair Oct 9th, the technician was sick and he informed our office and you of his condition. This was extremely unfortunate however, another crew did arrive a couple hours later (the same day) and repaired the cast iron pipe and also cleaned a clogged bathroom sink drain for free. The 2nd crew was at the home well after 9 pm to ensure the repair was complete and no further issues were at the property. We apologize that you did not have a good experience, please feel free to speak with our management team to discuss in further detail."

What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Discovered I had a leak in my bathroom and called Britton WaterWorks Plumbing. What a pleasant surprise it was to have some answer the phone, that was so friendly, professional and accommodating! They were able to schedule to come out within a couple of hours and kept me informed of when they would be arriving! They were prompt, very knowledgeable, answered all of my many questions & were so personable! The leak had caused water damage and they even called the restoration company and scheduled them to come out that day too so that we could get the drying out process started immediately! They really went above and beyond. Sadly, it’s not often you find businesses with all of these qualities- but they are one. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and they will now my go to plumbers. Thank you for making a stressful experience actually very bearable!

Wonderful experience. I have never had such a punctual and pleasant experience with someone working on my home. Our new oven was delivered but we discovered it stuck out further than our previous oven and our dishwasher couldn't open all the way. We needed the gas supply line moved quickly. Britton was pleasant and responsive from the first call. I received updates by email and text with the approximate day and time, then a smaller projected window, and then when they were actually on their way to my home. The work was done perfectly, the gas-fitters were pleasant and professional. I rarely hire anyone to do anything in my home because it is less hassle to do it myself whenever possible, including plumbing. But I have now found a gem of a business that I plan to hire again.

I discovered a leak in my garage ceiling late Saturday night. I called Britton Waterworks and sent them a picture on Sunday although I knew they were closed, I wanted to work with them due to the excellent reviews I had read on Yelp. Plus they were in my area. They called me back on Monday morning and set up an appt for later that afternoon. The leak was caused by a faulty pipe on my AC. It was fixed in no time. Everybody was so nice, professional, and prompt and the price was very acceptable. I was extremely pleased. They also referred me to a restoration company. Britton will now be my #1 plumber from now on.

They found and fixed a leak, fixed the line entering my house, replaced almost all my water valves and turned a shower into a laundry room for me. They also tested and moved the gas line for the laundry. I was very pleased with their work and will hire them again.

David is great! Two previous plumbers + a HVAC professional couldn’t locate & fix the leak. I was on my last straw when I called David. He immediately put me at ease, arrived early, assessed the situation, explained what was happening & worked until the issue was resolved. I can’t recommend Britton Waterworks enough! I tell everyone I know about them.

The technician was on time and very professional and very thorough. After pulling the toilet and repairing, it appeared to be fixed but just as he was about to go another leak started. He found a hairline fracture in the tank. He offered me a couple of options, however I chose to have someone else replace. A 2nd tech was called in for my disposal. He determined it didn't have to bebreplacef.
