Mission Veterinary Hospital

Two of the Vets in this office are extremely professional (Dr. Heflin and Dr. Diana), one of the Vets was rude (don't know her name) and refused to see one of my cats because I had asked specifically for one of the Vets early when I brought in another cat (the other Vet was already familiar with the case).  I have no experience with any of the other Vets in the office.  My biggest complaint is with the front office personal - we called one time - asked a simple question - 3 people (2 women and 1 man)  in the front office picked up the phone and all 3 were asked the question - all 3 said they didn't know the answer but would find out - then put us on hold - finally came back and said they would call us back - they never did - the reason they were rude to us is because previously  for a different animal they were told by Dr. Heflin that we didn't need an appointment because the animal we were bringing in was for an emergency - this isn't the only time the front office personal have been rude to us - truly sad because we like all but one of the Vets we have met and we have known one of the Vets for a long time

my dog had something in her right ear. Dr. Heflin scoped the ear,and found hair deep down near the ear drum. we washed the ear out until it was clean and put in an anisthetic for pain.

Their services are great. We've been using them for the past 12 years. They are caring and understanding. They are quick and prompt. When we had to put our dog down, the vet came out to our car to the parking lot. We didn't have to go through the wait in the waiting room. He was very kind.

We had a different veterinarian that we used for many years that was close to the house; but what we found with this vet hospital that they were one of the very few in the area that did provide an emergency service and also they have a staff of probably 5 doctors. They are very technologically advanced. They can provide us with a rabies shot that would last for three years instead of having to go back every year. It is a 13-mile drive, but it is worth for me. The price is a really good value and the service is generally very good.

They are very professional and up to date with their technology. They will see us after hours and they have someone on call. We will most definitely continue to use them. They are our pets' doctors.

I had a very unpleasant experience with them and I would not recommend them. There is no doubt in my mind that they are there and there for one reason only and that is to play up on people’s emotions concerning their pets. I have 2 registered German Shepherds and a year ago I took my female there because she was sick. At no time was it ever explained to me that she might be sick like a human gets sick. I was informed that she needed to go into surgery immediately and I was also told that if I was a good pet owner I would take the responsibility and put her into surgery. I later found out from another vet that she was just sick. The second incident was when the female who I wanted to breed, prematurely went into heat and I was told again that she needed to go into surgery immediately and later found out that she had just gone into heat and there was absolutely no problem with her. I had to spend a lot of money for unnecessary things that were forcibly recommended.
