SAVE YOUR SELF THE TIME AND MONEY My experience with this company was horrible pictures to prove, they installed a brand new ac unit in my home 2 yrs ago incorrectly and it’s been nothing but a nightmare, pipes leaking, my ceiling caving in, attic starting to mold up and it took two weeks to get that problem fixed. Fast forward 1 yr problem comes back atlas tech comes out cleans my lines and let me know my ac was gonna need to be lifted up in order for my ac to drain properly now atlas ac wants me to pay them to install their ac a second time THE RIGHT WAY since they couldn’t do the job right the first time, also shady business tactics charging me cash money and charging it off as insurance paid $1800 when no insurance company was ever involved, instead off the $4500 I paid out of pocket?

The heat pump, although able to cool and heat the garage well, would not keep the. set temperature. If I set it to cool to 78 in the summer it would not shut down till it reached 72. In the winter setting it to heat to 74  would result in its reaching only 69. It became clear that since the unit was high on the wall and did not have a conventional thermostat away from warmer ceiling air, it was sensing the temperature at ceiling level. Atlas reached out to the manufacturer and they exchanged the wall unit. at no cost. This did nothing to improve the situation. Atlas then exchanged the complete system with a Mitsubishi unit with the same cooling capacity. However this unit could be equipped with a conventional wired thermostat placed away from the AC unit.  Again the exchange was at no charge except for the additional  new thermostat. The previous mfg Freidrichs did not have a unit that could accommodate a wired thermostat. Every appointment, 6 in total, were kept on time except for one delay of which I was notified of in advance and a new appointment scheduled. The installation is very professional as were the technicians  .Worksite was left clean. I'm presently working with my hobby with the AC set at 78 and the garage at 78....perfect.
I am very impressed with the ethics of this business and its great customer relations.
Lesson for other Angie Listers. When buying a mini split when it will be the only heat /cool source for the entire room...only buy one with a remote thermostat. Remember a remote thermostat, not a remote control

Gross overcharging.  Although I  have used this  company on at least three previous times they insisted that they could not find the house.  They charged for technician travelling time as well as after hours fees.

Atlas Electric AC was called in to repair a non-working, 3 year old Goodman AC unit. The previous service provider and installer of the unit (also listed on Angie's List) failed repeatedly to repair the unit correctly/completely but mounted up charge after charge for service and refrigerant. When Atlas Electric AC was called in, the unit had been left non-working (waiting on a part) by the previous service provider for over 6 weeks in the South Texas summer! My elderly parents on a fixed income had to purchase 2 window units to get by.







After giving up getting satisfaction from the previous service provider, we contacted Atlas Electric AC from reviews on Angie's List. A Technician went out to our parents house and ran a full diagnostic on the unit. He dismantled the unit and crawled around inside, thoroughly inspecting everything. He determined the coil had so many leaks in it, it was not worth repairing and recommended a replacement of the coil or the unit (only 3 years old) entirely. After further questioning, we discovered that Atlas Electric AC is a warranty provider for Goodman and they were happy to file a warranty claim on the coil for us. When the part came in, the very next day they were out at the house installing it. The Technician pressured the system up and found another leak on another line and repaired that also. The Technician explained that the previous Tech probably missed the additional leak because the coil had so many holes in it, it couldn't be pressured high enough for this additional leak to show up. Our parents are now sitting in a cool and comfortable house because of Atlas Electric AC.







Atlas Electric AC did a professional and thorough job. The Office Manager, Service Manager and both Technicians were wonderful to deal with. They were respectful and patient, answering all our questions and returning our phone calls in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the service they provided our parents and would highly recommend them!

The cost ended up $700, but they tried to charge me more. They are really quick. I was really impressed with their response time. That is why I ended up going with them. The caution would be to ensure that they give you a written estimate. We had a little disagreement on what the estimate was because it was given verbally. They wanted to do like time and material apparently, but they would never give me a time and material figure on how far I was into the actual cost. I thought we had settled on a particular price, but they tried to bill me twice as much. The quality of the work was substandard initially, but the manager was very good. She ended up getting me the price that I said I was quoted. So, in that respect they honored their price, but it really took us a couple of months to figure it out. The initial work was a little shoddy, but they did come back and made sure everything was done properly. So, they were pretty good. That was what impressed me. In the end, they honored the price that I thought I had been quoted and that they wanted to make sure that everything was done properly. I would use them again because I think they are an honest company. I just think there was a communication error between me and the technician and maybe some assumptions on both parts that may have been inaccurate. They are honest. The pricing ended up being really good. I thought it was very fair for the work they did even though we had to bargain with them a little bit. They were there so fast. There were a few times I thought they were going to show, but they did not. They did work on the problem and they did right.

Workmen very efficient,professionals. They  did the job very thoroughly and without prompting included extra care to prevent theft or burglary of the home.

On the morning of the scheduled service, Atlas called to confirm that the servicemen were on their way. Three gentleman arrived shortly thereafter, each taking an assignment; one outdoors to clean and charge the units, and two indoors, one upstairs and one down.  In addition to acid-washing and cleaning the coils, there was some patching that had to be done in one of the closets to improve performance. Four hours later, after meticulously cleaning up after themselves, the work was done - done well and done on estimate.

When we purchased two central air and heat units from Atlas we asked the installers to save the one working air conditioner so that we could resell it. The unit was disposed of and their solution was to reimburse us $100.00. We also requested a FULL COVERAGE warranty for both units. We paid for both warranties and when this first issue came up ( freon replacement from theft ) they said our warranty did not cover the labor. They were not forth coming with the follow through on FULL COVERAGE. Companies should clearly communicate if you request full coverage and pay for full coverage that what was purchased is NOT full coverage. We do not recommend Atlas and are not happy that we still have to work with them, due to our LIMITED full coverage warranties.

They were very very responsive, were able to come to my house about 15 minutes after calling them for a quote. They checked out the house and gave me a fair quote, much cheaper than other companies I got estimates from. They were able to start work right away and took only 3 days to complete the job. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very courteous and made sure that I was satisfied with the job.
A few weeks later I noticed that my outdoor light would now not turn off. I called Atlas about the problem and they were there again quickly to correct the problem.
I would highly recomend this company for all of your electrical needs.

Atlas was punctual, polite, and efficient. Everything was done professionally and above expectations.

When I called them, they came out right away.  My husband wasn't home, so they spoke to me.  They were able to answer everything for me.  I told them I would think about and then I spoke to my husband.  We shopped around.  I was more comfortable with them.  I called them back up again, so they could communicate something else and they came back.  They were very nice and very professional.  It didn't matter what questions I asked, they already knew the answer to.  They would also explain if I didn't understand anything and they never made any face.  They were very professional.  They did even test for me because the room wasn't getting cold and I didn't have to pay for it.

They are available 24 hours a day, they always show up when we call, and we never have to have them back because the work is fine.

They were prompt. They couldn't do the job I needed done due to space restrictions.

I called them and several other contractors and liked the estimate provided, though they were a little higher than an other estimator, they were detailed and explained everything in detail. I liked their equipment and their company history. I hired them, in one day they were in and out and were productive and efficient and clean

The quote was given in a professional manner. The installation team arrived on time and completed the work in 1 day. The installation was a little more difficult than anticipated because of the units size, but they modified the existing ducting. Everything looks professional. Followup report after about 8 months. Company didn't return any phone calls. Also, when I inspected the whole house filter I found that the box was installed backwards so the filter had to be put in backwards. Then I found that one of the connections to the existing duct work had not been sealed and was leaking cold air (it was hard to see and was down in the insulation). All the other duct points had been sealed correctly.
