Atlas stands behind everything it does 100%. Atlas had its start as an electrical contractor, then in time adding the HVAC portion of the company a few years after opening its doors. The company has since been able to adapt to the needs of the community and most importantly the ever changing technical environment. You could say we were energy conscious when most people were not, and today we continue to dedicate ourselves to products that reduce energy consumption. Most importantly, not just energy products but the methods, and work ethic to enhance these products as they go through the installation process. Our belief and experience says, "If it’s not put in right, it's wrong even when it’s the best". We hope we can continue to evaluate our position in this market and most importantly prove we are an energy resource through both knowledge and good work practices and by adding solar products, solar services generators and wind power products to our product offering as we move forward.

I am very impressed with the ethics of this business and its great customer relations.
Lesson for other Angie Listers. When buying a mini split when it will be the only heat /cool source for the entire room...only buy one with a remote thermostat. Remember a remote thermostat, not a remote control
"We are sorry for any misunderstandings on this matter. Please keep in mind that we do have a 60 minute response time to most emergencies, all after hour emergency calls do incur a 1 hour minimum fee + the service call. We feel that this is more than fair considering that our tech has basically set his life on hold, to be on standby, ready to respond to your emergency needs, and although he may have taken 30 to 40 minutes to find the problem and repair it (according to our GPS records), we do have to pay them for all the time invested in responding to your emergency. It would be impossible to find a technician willing to go to your house and take care of your emergency problem, and only bill you, or pay the technician for the actual 30 minutes worth of time that it took to repair the issue, which is why we do have the 1 hour minimum charge."
"We had no idea the customer was unsatisfied. We called the customer immediately and resolved the issue. We agreed to perform a tune up service as a courtesy in the future. Customer was happy with our discussion and stated he had not contacted us to tell us he was unhappy and was glad that we were responding and taking notice. He would call us again!"
Atlas Electric AC was called in to repair a non-working, 3 year old Goodman AC unit. The previous service provider and installer of the unit (also listed on Angie's List) failed repeatedly to repair the unit correctly/completely but mounted up charge after charge for service and refrigerant. When Atlas Electric AC was called in, the unit had been left non-working (waiting on a part) by the previous service provider for over 6 weeks in the South Texas summer! My elderly parents on a fixed income had to purchase 2 window units to get by.
After giving up getting satisfaction from the previous service provider, we contacted Atlas Electric AC from reviews on Angie's List. A Technician went out to our parents house and ran a full diagnostic on the unit. He dismantled the unit and crawled around inside, thoroughly inspecting everything. He determined the coil had so many leaks in it, it was not worth repairing and recommended a replacement of the coil or the unit (only 3 years old) entirely. After further questioning, we discovered that Atlas Electric AC is a warranty provider for Goodman and they were happy to file a warranty claim on the coil for us. When the part came in, the very next day they were out at the house installing it. The Technician pressured the system up and found another leak on another line and repaired that also. The Technician explained that the previous Tech probably missed the additional leak because the coil had so many holes in it, it couldn't be pressured high enough for this additional leak to show up. Our parents are now sitting in a cool and comfortable house because of Atlas Electric AC.
Atlas Electric AC did a professional and thorough job. The Office Manager, Service Manager and both Technicians were wonderful to deal with. They were respectful and patient, answering all our questions and returning our phone calls in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the service they provided our parents and would highly recommend them!
"We attempted to reach the customer after we gave pricing and spoke to someone the next day who informed us he would call his father and discuss pricing and get back to us. That was within 1 day. Two days later the office called again and left a message. They called again that same day and the customer informed us they went with someone cheaper."
A few weeks later I noticed that my outdoor light would now not turn off. I called Atlas about the problem and they were there again quickly to correct the problem.
I would highly recomend this company for all of your electrical needs.
