We had an emergency and we agreed for them to perform work while we were away. Speedy Electric and A/C stated they performed work but we suspect they never did and they have refused to provide us a copy of the receipt, proof of the work performed, and information on warranty for their work. Additionally, they charged us $800, which I now know was roughly 40% higher than the five other electricity and HVAC companies I've now spoken with in Ellis County. Shame on me for trusting Speedy Electric and A/C without calling for other quotes. When we've called multiple times to obtain a copy of the receipt showing proof of their work, we get put on hold for 5-10 minutes only for someone to come back and tell us that they're too busy to find the receipt and to stop calling.

Speedy came out when they said they would. They installed two fans where there were not any fan boxes and had to go into an attic that was over 100 degrees. They also fixed a fan box that was coming out of the ceiling. Overall, they did a great job.

A two-man team came and did a great job of installing the new security light so my tenants would be extra secure in returning home to the garage which is in an alley.  I also had them check the swimming pool light that the grounding was safe - I do this overtime an electrician comes over for the safety of my tenants. They were professional. and worked well and efficiently as a team. Will call them again if/when needed

Overall, I regret letting Speedy work on my property. Their quality of work is awful. I feel their work is just to make the new panel to work at minimum, and there is no care paid to other aspects (you may expect to have: excessively large holes around the panel, inaccurate estimates and wrong labels). I am puzzled why Speedy has Super Service Award. Most experiences are bad: 1. when removing the old panel, speedy made large (probably excessively large) holes on the drywalls and cut wooden beams (hopefully these beams can still hold the second floor well). At the end, I have very ugly holds on the walls. That's unexpected. 2. the initial estimate is not accurate. Only during the installation, I was told to pay for $250 for a groaning rod. It would be good for me to know this beforehand. 3. there are mistakes on the labels. One is marked as "dryer", but it is cooktop. I also double some breaker of the A/C were wrongly labeled. 4. they will not tell me the phone numbers for the dry wall repairmen before I made payment. After I made payment, I still do not get the number. 5. they left trash in your garage instead of taking it to the trash can. The good parts: 1. the price is low, although not the lowest, and gave $100 coupon from Angie's list (in my point of view, the price is fair or high giving the quality of their work). 2. they appeared on time every time. 3. they provided the earliest available time for my need.

I called first thing on a Monday morning and they were able to schedule me for a 1000-1400 time window. Confirmation was via text, when the tech was enroute, I received a second text with a link that allowed me to track his location and estimated arrival time. Richard arrived around 1130. The truck is marked and he was wearing a company shirt. He was professional and friendly. I explained what I knew and he got to work right away. He identified a faulty capacitor as the issue and quoted me a price (had the part on the truck). Start to finish was about half and hour. All prices and services were discussed in advance. There were no surprises when it came time to square up. Standard non-warranty service fee of $69 plus $225 for a 35/5 capacitor. I was quoted a price for refrigerant, but didn't end up needing any. I appreciate the honesty there. Based on the initial pressure readings, it looked like I was going to need at least a pound of refrigerant. Richard let me know that they had changed; it would have been easy enough to not say anything and charge me anyway. Trust goes a long way. Speedy is my primary service provider for HVAC issues.
