Encore Plumbing

About as well as expected. This was a first time experience with Encore and will be my last. Way overpriced.

Kirby was very friendly and immediately responsive.  He was a referral from my primary contractor.  They had to go through the foundation in the master bathroom to repair leaks after my foundation repair.  They had to put a 5' hole in the floor & dig about 6' tunneled under the house to fix the 1st leak.  After identifying that there was a 2nd leak (they had to run their camera into the pipes from the roof), they had to dig further under the house to fix it as well.  This was a VERY labor intensive effort as they hand dug (and replaced) several tons of dirt.  They managed the whole permit process, including helping to get a structural engineer to help with finalizing the permit regarding the cement replacement (because I could not reach my original engineer on short notice).  My only complaint was that I did not understand up front that I was also paying for daily travel time for Kirby & crew which amounted to almost $1000 because of the long distance he traveled every day.  On the plus side, Kirby encouraged me to file a claim with my insurance company and I was able to recoup most of my costs.

We did not select Encore initially, but they were sent out by our insurance company to assess our potential claims.  After discussing the situation with Kirby, we agreed to let them handle the repairs.   I am very glad we did.  Although I cannot speak to how their prices compare with others--time was of the essence so we didn't get other estimates--both repairs were handled in a very competent, expeditious and unusually considerate manner.  Should we have another serious plumbing repair, I would definitely call them again.
