Shambaugh Construction

Jason was the builder of our home in the Midland/Odessa Texas Area he also goes by Basin Construction and Basin Homes, he was very nice, pleasant and helpful in the beginning of our build, until it came down to the $20,000 + Custom Cabinets we were supposed to have in our home instead we ended up with approx. $8,000 cabinets this is when he showed his true colors. He became very hateful, starting telling lies about me and my husband and not giving us updates on the house we were supposed to close on April 30 but couldn't because the concrete for the front and back porches had not been poured, We had sold our previous home and had to be out on the 30th which Mr Shambaugh knew about, this went on for another 13 days of us living in a hotel, when he finally ran out of anything to postpone us with he told us and the realtor we could get a Cert. of Completion from the City so we could close, the realtor knowing he would delay more went to the city to get the certificate only to find out he had not turned in all the inspections and would not answer or return phone calls when this was found out, so we finally get the certificate and get the house closed only to discover that our drip system in the front yard was not laid where it would irrigate our plants and trees and the drip hose had such big holes it was spraying the roof of our house, next a few days go by and plumbing starts backing up we pull the clean out to discover it stuffed with bricks so a plumber had to dig up the sewer line and replace it. We were told many many lies, He told us he was building track homes in Midland only to find out they fired him 2 years ago for pretty much the same thing, We wish we would have done our research before we had to go thru all this and hope that maybe we can prevent someone else from having to be cheated and mistreated by this man. We could honestly write a book about this horrible ordeal.
