It is a fantastic clinic. I would recommend them to anybody. There is only one vet in the office and I see her every time. They give excellent care and they are very attentive to my animals. I would rate them highly.

I had never made contact with Mesa Verde Clinic prior to the incident in this report and was not an established client. On 02/28/2011, I called for a first-time appointment for a shy pregant stray female cat that I had finally coaxed into my home. I was unable to keep her in my home for very long at all but I wanted to see about getting her spayed if she was not too far along. Dr. Linda's office allowed me to drop her off at their office that same morning to hold her until the appointment that they made for me that afternoon. When I arrived, I was met by a small cohort of office cats (that came and stayed because they were unadoptable) and a friendly dog. Also, I was met by a strong cat litter odor that I found unfortunate. While examining the cat, Dr. Linda displayed a great deal of gentleness and interest in the cat's well-being and I decided immediately to forgive the cat litter odor. When the cat's ears were treated for ear mites and she began to dig vigorously in her ear with her long claws, Dr. Linda kindly clipped the claws on both back legs to prevent her from injuring herself. We discussed giving the cat the entire range of vaccinations versus rabies only. I was interested in administering only rabies prior to the surgery, which can have little or no affect on the fetuses, since the cat was a stray and could disappear before surgery. She agreed to cooperate with that and planned to administer the rest of the vaccines on the day of surgery. Surgery was scheduled for the day after next, in spite of her busy practice. When asked, she readily provided me with names of local animal rescue groups that might be able to assist me with taking the cat for adoption. That same afternoon, I visited one of the local animal rescue adoption centers. The end result was that the rescue group was willing to take the pregnant cat and continue with her care. Therefore, Dr. Linda did not actually perform the spay. I have been to LOTS of vet clinics as a pet owner. I was favorably impressed with the kindness and interest displayed by Dr. Linda and her staff and the quickness with which they responded to my call. Although I don't currently own any pets, if I should ever need a vet's services again, I will most certainly return to Mesa Verde Animal Clinic and I will be ready with a recommendation to anyone.
