16 years of experience

Midland/Odessa commercial and residential lawn care company that strives to offer the most affordable rates is the Permian Basin with satisfaction always guaranteed. We accept multiple forms of payment such as cash, check, and all major credit cards.

"I hired them to remove 2 tree stumps, metal poles, debris, trash, brick concrete and rocks in topsoil, then grade and level the yard. I was told they could scrape the top couple inches off and level the yard. They wanted 4,000 for the job. They came and removed the stumps and metal poles and used a skid steer to scrape the ground surface. However, the surface was not cleared and removed as promised. I also paid an extra $300 for them to remove poles from a side fence, which they never did. The ground is not properly graded. It is higher on the back edge so now creates a pond in the back when it rains. The old grass is popping up through the ground so it is basically the same as before they came. 11/8/2021 update: went through Home Advisors Fairclaims process and the ruling was in favor of Permian Landscaping despite the overwhelming evidence the job wasn't done. Permian Landscaping even submitted a fake receipt for services from a business that didn't exist, the phone number on it went to an adult entertainment service. Since no contract or receipts were provided, I was unable to reclaim any of my losses. Permian did a great job of screwing me over."

Lawn Fertilization and Treatment questions, answered by experts

A quick search online may recommend that you give your dog apple cider vinegar to help decrease the pH level of your dog’s urine. This method won’t help your yard, though. Most turf grasses thrive on slightly acidic soil, so apple cider vinegar won’t make much of a difference.

The main cause of grass death by dog urine isn’t the pH level anyway—it’s usually the excessive amount of nitrogen that kills your grass.

Starting a mowing business can be profitable if you manage your business wisely, calculate costs accurately, and invest in time-efficient, high-quality equipment. With good customer service, you can lock in loyal customers who invest in weekly lawn care services that turn your business into a successful one.

Lawn care businesses can earn anywhere from $40,000 to over $100,000 per year depending on how you operate, but you’ll need to factor in the cost of equipment to determine your actual profit margins.

You don't want to over-fertilize your lawn because it can burn the grass and even kill it. Healthy soil usually requires two fertilization applications a year during the height of the growing season. This fertilization schedule typically starts at the start of fall and the end of spring, depending on the grass type and plants.

Yes, after the lawn is overseeded post-aeration, most of the seed germinates in the aeration holes. This leaves the soil undisturbed while lush and healthy grass will grow in the holes' place. The point of this is to create extra turf density in areas that really need it, such as a large patch of dead grass where a shed used to be.

Purchase a selective herbicide that targets clover and similar weeds but doesn't take out your grass. You can also keep it from growing with corn meal gluten or remove clover from your lawn manually at the start of the season as part of your lawn maintenance checklist.
