HEADWAY SPECIALTIES

Headway Specialties (Tito and a helper) furnished and installed plantation shutters and cell shades in three rooms of our residence.  The shutters were supposed to be the same as ones they had installed previously in other rooms, but were of evident lower quality.  Also they failed to remove the old brackets (as agreed to) with the excuse of not having the right tool.  We received no reply to a follow-up call about removing the hardware, so we removed it ourselves using a standard socket wrench.  

Over two months later, Tito called to say there had been a mistake in their billing and we owed more money.  He came to the house where we discussed the billing and we also expressed our concerns over the wooden shutter quality and hardware removal.  He had no interest in hearing or discussing our concerns. He just wanted his money.  Although he had signed the statement on 2/13/12 that the balance had been paid, we decided their mistake in billing may have been legitimate.  So to be fair, we paid the requested amount - which he was vehement that we owed.  He did not offer any discount for the quality of the shutters or the unfinished work.

The situation was handled in a very unprofessional manner .  We can not recommend  Headway Specialties.)
