We've had 5 boys in our house for a very long time, recently they began moving out and within 2 months we went from 5 teenage boys down to two, well you can only imagine what my carpet looked like! I had spots on top of spots, tar, coke splatters, dirt, mud, and several LARGE cleaner spots from where I tried to spot clean the carpet before, and failed miserably. I had really thought that this is it, we are going to have to rip the carpet up because there is literally no hope. I decided I had to give it one good try to have it cleaned so I started calling for estimates, the prices I was getting were OUTRAGEOUS! I could not believe what people were charging for a few hours worth of work! One of the places I called were "free unflood" and by the time that guy left, I almost had tears in my eyes because he quoted me $250.00! My carpet was bad, but dang!!! "Was it worth it or should I tear it up and tile it?" Ironically while walking back into my house after saying goodbye to the other guy I saw a piece of paper rolled up laying on my porch, I opened it and low and behold it was an advertisement for a new carpet cleaning company and he was running a "End of summer special, 3 rooms for $99"! I thought this was too good to be true, or maybe just another company's (gag me) special, but I HAD to call him for an estimate anyway, so I called Dave and he actually came to my house at 7:30 P.M to give me an estimate and told me he would do it for $60.00 bucks (including the stain guard sprayed on) and explained to me that he was new, had a new van and a brand new $14,000 cleaning machine and wanted new clients... SO he sold me, how could I say no? He came this morning with his darling wife Kristen and promptly got started, I went shopping and asked them to call before they were done so I could come back and pay them (I didn't go far from home) TWO hours later they were done and I walked in the house and I could NOT believe my eyes! I had never seen that carpet that clean since the day it was put in! I would have liked to cry, but that would have looked pretty stupid...lol. I paid him $100.00, very happily! He deserved that at the very least! I only hope that Dave took pictures before he cleaned it because it would be a great selling point for him!
