Very prompt and did a great job. The repair matched the engineering report. The estimate matched. Plus they cleaned up afterward. Very competent, professional and honest. I would recommend them to a good friend or family member.

This was a massive job, which was supervised by the owner's son. There were issues of sink holes and a damaged AC pipe upon the completion, which they took care of immediately without any problems.

From the moment we met Rob, we knew that this was a great company. They are family owned and operated, and that was evident throughout our whole experience. The price was comparable, but he walked us through the entire process. He didn't just look around and hand us an estimate. They worked hard, completed the job on time, and made our yard look better when they left than when they got there.

The owner gave the quote with all details and explaining the situation and the process to correct it.  During the repairs the men were all polite and cleaned everything when finished.  It was a very good experience.

He completed the job in 2010, and we thought everything was done properly.  However, we had someone out to work on our walls and two contractors told us there was an issue with our foundation.  Part of our original contract included an inspection with an engineer at the start of the project, and a second inspection at the end of the project.  The second inspection after the work was completed was never done.  Many things that were promised on our contract were not completed as well.  I have sent him letters and pictures, I would appreciate him coming and showing me what he has done. I have also left message for him, and he has not called back.
Response from Pro Tech Foundation
"Pro-Tech Foundation is always very appreciative and grateful for our client's reviews and feedback. We take each individual compliment or any concern very seriously, as we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of workmanship and customer satisfaction. "From our family to your's!" We are empathetic to our customer's review of the contract details and performance. Our family is extremely embarrassed and surprised after seeing this review. She was very leery in hiring any subcontractors, due to an unfortunate and horrible past experience. She trusted and gave someone prior an upfront, payment in full, and the individual never returned to complete the work. Pro-Tech was hired to perform contract work and we went beyond to ensure her satisfaction, completing at no additional charge, many requested items that were not listed on our signed contract. The engineer evaluation of this property shows inspection, prior to and following concrete pour of 31 drilled single shaft piers and additional work. It also shows replacement of all damaged sections of girder. The girder by the fireplace was not visible upon completion of the job, because the fireplace was still intact, surrounded by brick footing and was not removed prior. Pro-Tech, however, returned at the request of our customer and replaced the girder at no additional charge. The inspection also shows that we used solid steel shims, 21 concrete pad and block footings were installed. We also replaced several floor joists. Issues with drainage and shifting were recommended repair differently than the client insisted. We hope to resolve this matter as soon as possible. We wish for resolution from our client to ensure their satisfaction and understanding of explained work completed. We take pride in our family owned and operated business and our number one goal is our client satisfaction. We appreciate the opportunity to discuss any concerns and thank you so much for your review and patronage. We know honesty and customer satisfaction is key to any success!"

Wow!

This company was extremely professional and did a great job.  I got three bids.  Each company had a different cement column pier style and had different pier placement. I am no expert on concrete slab foundation repair so I hired David Vannier - an independent structural engineer .  Pro-Tech's plan was the closest to the engineering report I received and their pier style was one of the two type he approved for the Rockwall area so I chose them.  I scanned and sent Pro-Tech Mr. Vannier's plan.  Pro-Tech followed the engineering report at my request. (It was not a great deal different than their initial bid but there were a few differences) I found out after the fact that Mr. Vannier verifies all of their jobs after they are completed and that they have worked together for years.  They drilled 23 piers around my house and in my garage.  Their crews were very polite, extremely professional and worked very well and efficiently together. Stephen, the owners son did a great job of explaining what they were doing, why they were doing it and how it was all going to flow.  They worked tirelessly from 7:30 to 6:45 on the first day and then 8:30 - 6:15 the next day. They followed up work on a third day from 11:45 - 6:30.  It was very obvious that each member of the crew was extremely skilled at his area of work.  They moved an 700 - 800 plant bench because I was not able to move it before they came.  They were very careful with all of my plants and property. They all worked very hard all day long.  They dug this awful Texas clay like it was nothing. Each hole was clean - in fact it looked like the side walls had been iced.  I wish I could include pictures in my post because this was extremely impressive to someone who gardens in this evil Texas clay.  Their acrobatics hauling concrete in a wheel barrow to the top of a dump truck was amazing.  I was impressed at each and every step of the process. The house went back in place exactly as planned. A Stephen predicted I got a few minor cracks above one doorway and on one wall with the leveling but the big cracks all closed, the windows lined back up and my bricks went back into place. I mentioned we were getting new gutters, Stephen made a few recommendations to improve my down spouts.  The dirt was cleaned as promised, the concrete that was poured to cover the pier is matched very well to the surrounding concrete and the masonry work around my brick is nearly impossible to see. They did everything they said they were going to do and then some.

Instead of it being the awful experience that I expected it turned out to be a very pleasant and educational experience. In this process I worked with Rob, the owner,  his wife Tracy and their son Stephen .  I found them to be honest, responsible and people of very high integrity.  In this day and age it is hard to find companies that have integrity in their dealings with people, deliver a quality product and do everything they say they are going to do.   I have already recommended them to many people.  If anyone says foundation to me I have to tell them about my experience.  I highly recommend them.  I am not easily impressed.  I spent years in the construction business and I saw more companies with poor work ethics and bad attitudes so when I see a company that shines on so many levels I want everyone to know.

Their work was very good.  They weren’t exactly punctual but they were polite, they cleaned up afterwards, their price was comparable to our other quote.  I thought they were fine and I have recommended them to a friend.  They were here on time when they gave the estimate, but they weren’t here for the work and they didn’t call to tell me.

Rob came out to Cedar Creek lake for no additional charge.  He also worked on a house that was built partially on Pier & Beam and partially on concrete slab.  He spent quite a while measuring and explaining everything to me...including talking about some drainage concerns.  When his son came out to do the work they discovered some things about the way the house had been built that they had no way of knowing before they started digging.  They reassessed my needs, changed their course of action and reduced the original bid by about half.  After they finished the job I had a concern and Rob came right back out to the house and addressed the issue.  His original bid was for $10,000 and I feel like he could have gone ahead and done the unnecessary work and billed me for the full amount and I would never have known.  I truly appreciate his honesty with me about the situation and would absolutely use his services again if needed.  Tracy was really nice to work with as well...they seemed like nice, honest, hard working people.

Job unfinished to date. 2 red tags from city of Dallas. Destroyed original hardwood floor in hallway, broke ledger plate under wall, numerous pad and blocks installed out of level. Pro-tech returned after first red tag from city after leaving a beam resting on main plumbing line and not installing 2 piers that were on plans,They said they could not raise the beam so they notched the beam. City also required them to remove building materials from under home.   This was first inspection on 7/20/11. I pointed out unlevel pads and blocks and advised them to make sure all were level. They only leveled the ones I pointed out.

Next inspection by city says exterior wall pads not installed properly (must be buried 12 inches into undisturbed soil and do not use pad and block system, must be poured concrete piers.) I am waiting on return phone call from Rob. My house was built in 1921 and was not in too bad of shape except for one corner being down 2 1/2 inches. I now have 1 inch spaces between 2 hallway floorboards. They ruined my original 1921 hardwood floor. I had to stop them from lifting in my hallway because the tongue and groove flooring was being sheared off at the groove and mashing the floor into the sheetrock. They also snapped a ledger board supporting the floor joyce. Strangley the broken ledger is directly underneath the split hardwood..

To give them credit they are returning to try and remedy theses problems...Pictures to follow...

Just wanted to update my last report but there was no way to update it..Pro- Tech is here today..Most issues resolved...I will write a final report upon completion...Things are lookin up..Now if the floor goes back together I will be happy..Steve has a plan..

Final Report..After requesting 3 times for them to level thier pads sets all they did was push dirt up around them to make them appear level. Did not get the floor back to original location. I have since hired another foundation company to repair my foundation. I basically paid them to leave and would not allow them to touch my home again. The broken ledger board remains. The notch they cut to get the beam off the main drain remains unsupported. When I confronted them they said that plumbing was in the way. I did question them as to why they could not notch the support like did all the others under my house.

I wonder why Pro-Tech has to cash thier checks thru a cigarette store. They may be great at slab work but on my pier and beam they did not work well. As far a s work ethic goes I observed them sittin and playin Mexican poker for hours on end instead of working. I will write a review for the new company that I have hired when the job is complete. I wasted 11,000.00 for the 20 or so pad and block sets that are not up to Dallas city code.

I had to pay another 7,000 to bring it up to code. The new company removed a bunch of ProTechs work..ALIGN FOUNDATION is fantastic.

"Pro-Tech was hired to complete 2 contracts (jobs) for the customer. Our job was not complete when he posted his complaints. When he addressed his complaints to us, we promptly addressed them and completed our work to our customers satisfaction. So far two reports were posted by the customer without the job being complete."

Wonderful! From start to finish. Professional, on time, trustworthy I now have no lean on the one side and the other, less significant side is much better supported. The first week, Bob's son and crew came out and crawled under the house, assessing and drilling and pouring concrete. This sat for a week to cure. They came back the following week and finished raising, shimming and doing whatever it is that they do. During the process a few of my foundation shrubs had to be excavated, which they placed in a shady spot, mounded by the dirt from the pier drills. After the finish, they replanted the shrubs and they are doing well. In short, I think there are many companies that can fix your foundation, but I am very impressed and grateful for the care and the time that Pro-Tech spent on my home. And, after all the work? The bill was 200 dollars less than quoted. Does that happen often? Thanks, Bob, son and crew! I hope to never have foundation problems again, but if I did, I'd call on you!

They did a pretty good job. It was in the front of the house and there were levels. We spent about $1050. They responded quickly and gave us the quote. They did the work quickly. It took 2 separate visits because the concrete had to cure for at least one week. They came back exactly a week later. It took a little longer to do it than they had originally estimated because there was some wood damaged by termites underneath the house that had to be replaced. We did not know that we were going to have this problem. The price they quoted was fair. They handled that as well. We will use this company in the future.

He showed up on time. He was very professional. He was showing me some different equipment and what he was doing. He measured some different heights and also looked around the cross-space. He gave me a detailed estimate and told me how long the work would take. He was very knowledgeable and good at explaining what he did.

The contractor that half way built our addition and then disappeared, never put in vents for air under the room. Moisture had collected and rotted the main joist where the room was attached to the house. The floors started to bow down in different areas and we were afraid that the floor would collapse. Since this was happening during a very rainy fall, the repairs took a couple of visits. Everything was done exactly as I was told it would and everything went smoothly. The workers were polite, kept us updated on their work and progress. I will be referring them to everyone I know.

They gave me a five year warranty. The owner Rob Braswell was on present on the job. Their service was very good. They were here when they said they would be. They gave me a very fair price. The company is family run and everyone is involved in the business. His company has been around for a long time in the Dallas area. I felt very good about his services and I have called him since the work was done to check on it and he agreed to come out and check it out.
