"[Member Name Removed], Many of your comments about our business growing are correct, however the main driver is the fact that residential lawn care is being squeezed by cheap, undocumented labor; making it near impossible to hire additional employees to service a property of your size (10,600sqft) for the $196/month rate on our Total Care plan and remain profitable. The fact is that we under priced your property early on and never felt right about raising your rates after just 1 year of service, even considering our service was exceptional during that period. So, we stuck with it with 2 employees for another year and found it just wasn't feasible to continue to compete with the low-ballers in the residential arena and our quality of work decreased due to the fact the guys couldn't stay on schedule for their respective routes. As for the cancellation notice ... Your account was 1 month behind PLUS we waived the March invoice for a total of nearly $400 on us ... hopefully that is satisfactory for the late warning about cancellation, as we often receive NO notice from residential customers ... they just stop paying. We do thank you for your business and have learned from this experience of how attempting to compete in a low-ball market can have negative results for all parties involved."
"[Member Name Removed], I do apologize for not responding to your online quote request, however we sometimes receive more than we can handle and must pick and choose which quote request to address based on the resources that we have at the time as well as the scope of work within the quote request. I've always believed it's better to NOT commit to a project or provide a quote for work that we feel we could not complete rather than provide empty promises and disappoint a customer during the course of completing the project. Your quote even mentioned a service that we do not offer, as we do not offer one-time mowing or on-request mowing services, which we outline within our website services page. We are an estate management company that requires a 12-month commitment for a complete Total Care plan, for which your quote eluded to NOT wanting ... your quote: "I am seeking the bare minimum in services. Please email a quote without trees and with trees so I can determine my next step." Our Total Care plans include pruning and are not quoted otherwise, as we also include Fertilization & Weed Control within these estate management plans. This is what determined a non-response from us. Thank you for your interest. --Dale"
