Geldmeier Fence & Deck

We could not be more thrilled with the deck that Gary and team built for us! Gary provided great suggestions for the design of the deck and Thomas and his crew did an amazing job building it. The attention to detail is really impressive, between pest netting around the bottom, painting of the deck foundation to match the composite, etc.! We went with composite given the rising cost of cedar. Gary provided samples for us to review so we could select both quality and color. The team checking in with us as the project progressed, asking questions to obtain our preferences on placement and symmetry. We are really loving how it looks and cannot wait to be spending more time outside this summer! We highly recommend Geldmeier!

If you are going to install an IPE deck, your first and only call should be to Geldmeier. My architect saw the final project and said it was the best job that he has ever seen. The lines are great. The foundation is exactly how it should be done. IPE is a very hard wood to work with. The folks at Geldmeier did a fantastic job. Truly top notch.

They built a very nice looking fence.I was happy with their work at first.My problem is they didn't provide an opening for the gas meter reader to access the gas meter.The meter reader had to provide his own.My main complaint is that one of the pickets had to have a notch cut in it to clear a part of the gas meter.When this picket was nailed to the fence part of this notch was contacting the gas meter.When the wood dried and shrank the part of the picket contacting the meter prevented it from moving ant the picket split in the middle about 31\2 ft. from the bottom.If this picket had been installed properly this wouldn't have happened.What concerns me most is their lack of response.I called and talked to the lady that answered that I assumed was mrs Geldmeier and explaned the problem and left my phone number.I waited a month and got no reply so I called again. No one answered this time so I left a message.I feel they should have at least had the courtesy to return my call if only to tell me they didn't stand behind their work.I don't care if they call now or not, I'll fixit my self and know it'sdone right this time.

houExcellent.  Very punctual and professional.  Already had fencing along the sides of the back yard and only wanted a new fence along the back of the yard along the alley.  Gary arrived on time to measure and give a bid.  Bid was accepted and construction started exactly as promised.  Very pleased.  Would certainly recommend this company.

Gary had added a fence for my parents about 15 years ago.  Their fence still looks like new, so I figured I would use them too.  Gary and his wife are great people.  They are both friendly and responsive.  You will feel like you are friends with them.  They do great work.  Everything was done exactly like I imagined.  He came out immediately and gave me an estimate, gave me the date he would start, showed up on time, and got the entire job done in a couple days. My lot is slopped and they made all the steps and transitions perfectly.  Everything is level and looks great.  It has been a while now since I had the fence work done and everything still looks great.  Gary also comes out every couple years and restains the fence as needed. (for an additional cost obviously).  I would definately recommend him (and have to several of my neighbors)

Timelines and keeping me posted on the process was an issue for me ..... But the finished product was well worth it!!!!

The February ice storm split a tree and took out some of my fence. Geldmeier Fence & Deck does not usually do repairs (they are a premier builder of fences, decks, and gazebos). I was fortunate to be worked into their schedule. Their crew came out early in the morning and replaced the damaged wood panels and support bar. I don't think it took them much over an hour and I am very happy that the work was done. The cost was reasonable, the service was timely and professional. I will be using them when I replace my current fence and build a new deck. I am a very happy and satisfied customer.

These guys do great work.  We are extremely pleased with the quality of work and the professionalism of Gary's crew.  My wife and I are also pretty particular and don't really have much patience for cutting corners or poor project management.  I will definitely use Geldmeier again and would recommend them to anyone.

The fence was very difficult to reach in some places because of a neighbor's building, but Geldmeier employees did an outstanding job.  They even made a second trip, without charging me extra, when it became necessary in order to gain access thru the neighbor's yard.
I met Gary Geldmeier once at the work site, and I talked with Susan Geldmeier several times over the phone.  They were both extraordinally helpful and professional, among the best people I've had the pleasure of working with.  I will definitely use them in the future for any fence or deck work.

Most of our fence was in good shape except a 14 foot front section with gate, two pickets along the back that were broken, another gate that was not latching properly, and anti-climb rails that were deteriorating. Gary gave us an estimate to repair and/or replace all of the items. His crew did an excellent job on all of the work.

They did great job.  They came when they said they will come.  The price was the price they said it's going to cost.  We had gone to other places they were right the line with anybody else but we were impressed with their presentation so we went with them.  They were on time and neat.  They did everything they said they will do.  They were great. 

They were punctual and did what they said they'd do. I am satisfied with the result. They did not try to upsell me or come up with costly surprises. Would hire them again.

Gary and crew built the fence and then did the re-staining job.  Both times he was responsive, provided detailed bid, and then carried through on the job. His work has been excellent, and his wife Susan is very easy to work with and flexible.  Crew did their work and took care to do it right and in a timely fashion. They were courteous and explained what they were doing.

Gary was very easy to work with, answered all our questions, had pictures of his work.  He e-mailed the estimate within a couple of days.  I really liked his Proposal Invoice as it broke down each charge so we knew exactly what each item cost.  I got several estimates and Gary's was the best.  His crew arrived early each morning and cleaned up at the end of each day.  A couple of his crew members have worked with him for many years and they did an absolutely exceptional job.  His wife, Susan, assists him and is just as wonderful to work with as Gary.  She was always very prompt to get answers and call back.  We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience and are still admiring our BEAUTIFUL fence.
