I highly recommend Jonah and
Galaxy Building Services. We remodeled the master bath with new
tile, new glass enclosed shower, new vanity and lights, and paint.
They were always on time and made sure to keep the work area cleaned
daily. The work was done beautifully. Their well-managed service took the
stress and worries off of me and made my project feel like a breeze (when I
could see it was actually lots of sweat and stress on their part). Most
importantly, is Jonah?s service to make sure that we were pleased with the work
and that it met our expectations and vision for the project.

It went great. They did a superb job. There was additional fees because I had to buy the material. It included the vanity, the countertops and accessories - faucets, mirrors and tiles.

The job is about 90% complete. There have been a few holdups mostly due to us waiting for items ordered over
the internet and us changing the storage design. Over all the workmanship has been top rate, materials
have been top quality, contractors have been friendly and helpful.
1, Removed bathtub then added a glass shower with new tile and fixtures.
2, Removed old floor and replaced with new floor tile.
3, Refinished old cabinet doors.
4, Replaced old shower with build-in storage from floor to ceiling
5, Removed and cut large old mirror, made into 2 smaller mirrors, 1 for each of the 2 sinks.
6, Removed large old window, replaced with smaller window in order to increase the shower size..
7, Removed old counter and faucets replaced with new counter, sinks and faucets.
8, Removed old wallpaper, textured and repainted walls, ceiling and woodwork.
9, Installed new towel bars, shelves and hooks for shower accessory's.

We contacted Galaxy Building in early August to remodel our master bath after we had a slab leak repaired. We had a small 36x36" square shower that was transformed into a huge 60" x 48" shower with a bench seat surrounded by frameless glass. Twelve by twenty four inch tiles surrounds both the shower and walk in tub. The walk in tub replaced a huge whirlpool tub that didn't have any grab bars. As we grow older such things become very relevant.
The walk in tub is equipped with hydro jets and air jets. It also has an inline heater so the water doesn't get cold. I love that tub. It is much smaller than the tube it replaced making room for the shower. They installed custom maple cabinets stained a beautiful golden pecan. These are real wood cabinets, not that compressed wood product with wood fronts.
A new matching medicine cabinet housing an electrical outlet was installed on the countertop. A new light was added over the walk in tub, popcorn ceiling was removed and painted, walls were painted after removing 25 year old wallpaper, including the water closet. The existing mirror was used to provide two framed mirrors on each side of the medicine cabinet over the two sinks. Barn doors replaced double doors entering the room saving space in the bedroom. I wish I'd had a little more guidance on the barn doors, but they turned out very nicely.
Through it all, Johnah was in touch so much that I began to think he had moved in with us. He kept us posted every step of the way. Thank you, Johnah. If something wasn't quite right or to our satisfaction, he made sure it was corrected. There was only one snag which was the frameless shower surround. It had to be cut again because of minor changes to granite thickness. Galaxy Building is a great choice for a bathroom remodel. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else if I needed more of this type of work done.

These projects went along really well. We enjoyed working with Jonah and his team. He has talented professionals that provide quality work. Jonah offered excellent suggestions and helped guide us on decisions we had to make on design of the new shower. He also suggested we frame the old standard flat glass mirrors and am really glad we did. He met the challenge we posed in putting a special sink in the master bath and having a custom cabinet built to enclose it. His bid process offered the flexibility for us to provide the specific materials that we wanted to use for the build, rather than having to select from a limited vendor or brand. Jonah is very personable and you will enjoy working with him. He clearly knows his business and is all about quality work and making sure the customer is happy.

This contractor had access to our home as we had to move to an apartment, for 5 months and still did not complete work that was contracted for timely. Additionally left work contracted for unfinished and much of the work quality is substandard and we will have to hire another contract to finish and repair the substandard work... We reported much of this prior to moving back into the home and got no response. Upon moving back into the home - we noted more items and reported them and this contractor stated "you can not have another punch list or add to it". Then when convenient for them they showed up demanding FULL final payment despite work still outstanding. They were told we would have to discuss and get back to them and it would NOT be the next day as it was our granddaughters birthday. Regardless - they showed up the next day again wanting payment they were not entitled to as the job was not finished. They are fully aware that the mortgage company is holding the final half of the insurance payment and withholding services and demanding payment as a tactic to force a payment they have not earned. Another contractor is on the way!

"It is truly unfortunate that after having so many completely satisfied customers that we now have one that is not pleased with the work we have done for them. We attempted to reach a satisfactory conclusion to this project with this family, however being a smaller company, we were not able to continue doing additional work and not receive money for the work we had already done. The only payment, we received was an initial deposit on 03/09/15 for initial scope of work. After that, the customer’s kept on increasing the scope of work and we never got any additional payments. We continued to attempt to reach a compromise with them by offering to complete the items which they claim we had not finished for them and also to offer discount. In response they decided to write us a bad review and post it on the Internet. To this date, 08/19/2015, we have not received any additional monies except the initial deposit mentioned above. Please take time to read through the review of our completed projects; we are confident that you will discover that we are dedicated, professional, personable, focused on meeting customer satisfaction and quality workmanship."

The windows are great! I wish it went smoothly but the weather was not our friend. It rained, hailed, and the Gods just down right smited us. BUT they got our windows in and we are so HAPPY with them. Thanks for persevering!

This was not a pleasant experience.
I had flunked a Rent House inspection by the City of Richardson and quickly needed someone to poke a hole in a garage wall that had been converted into a bedroom and install an egress window.
I was willing to pay, and I paid, a premium price to get this little construction project to happen quickly.
Galaxy Building Services suggested I also needed hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to pass the City's inspection. I made additional calls to City Inspectors and discovered this was not the case.
Then there were the delays. Deadlines were missed. Windows became unavailable (even though equivalent windows were readily available and in stock at Home Depot). Additional calls to City Inspectors were made as I begged for deadline extensions and forgiveness.
Finally, the window was installed. The City Inspector approved the installation and my Rent House was up to standard.
But, in my view the drama and expense associated with using Galaxy Building Services was excessive.
I would have preferred to check a box suggesting I MIGHT use this Provider in the future, but this option is not available. So, I checked the Yes box.

We strive to provide best services possible, but some times, due to factors out of our control such as ordering double strength glass , egress window with specific size...unfortunately these types of windows is not shelf item at local hardware stores.
