Ellis is professional and knowledgeable and pays attention to detail and satisfying clients expectations. The roof and gutters were done in 3 days and look great. He went to the trouble to get custom skylights and flashing and repaired some problems outside of the contracted job at no cost. Ellis was very good to work with from quoting through project finish. He was knowledgeable about key roofing details and provided valuable explanations and advice. Originally, I had him quote only the roof and skylight and then later added the gutters. The addition was handled so smoothly it was like I had asked for them in the first place. I understood at the beginning of the project the skylight install would be the rough in with no sheetrock/drywall work included and accepted it that way. At the time, I didn't realize this meant they would not cut the existing sheetrock in the ceiling to expose the skylight to the room below and that was the only minor disappointment that was quickly resolved with a pruning saw on a pole. There was a misunderstanding between the crew and myself on the position of the skylight (my fault) and we discovered it halfway into the install. The crew stopped and took the time to let me better explain and then promptly and courteously made the correction. Very good experience in every aspect.

Ellis came out to my house twice to evaluate the situation. He diagnosed the situation and advised me - for free - on how I could fix it myself to save money, which I attempted. When that didn’t work out, he priced me a very reasonable amount to fix the problem, communicated very quickly, and the work was done professionally. Highly recommended!

Ellis is fabulous. Our phone call was quickly replied to and he was out the following day. As long as there are no major storms we should get another 2-3 years out of the roof. He replaced the missing shingles and we are good to go. I can not say enough good things about Ellis. He is honest and has integrity.

From contacting on a Saturday morning response was fast and was they came out on Monday after a few days quote was received and was competitive pricing. We chose Ellis because of experience, knowledge and time. They were professional and there was manager on site at all times and owner came out several times during the job to make sure roof was done correctly and on time. We also contacted them to recommend company to replace gutters that we had to replace also. We were pleased with the roof replacement from start to finish. Highly recommend and will use again if needed for future.

Called Ellis as result of all the good reviews on Angies list. I notices a stain starting on my living room ceiling just below the chimney. He answered phone on my first call and came by that afternoon. He took pictures to show me what issue was. It was from my chimney and another stack pipe close to the chimney. He scheduled a time to come back, and I asked it he could also clean my gutters or knew someone I could call. He said he would clean them for me. He came back did the work, took pictures of completed work for roof repair and the cleaned gutters. He was very nice, easy to work with. He even took care of a couple of other issues he saw while he was working on roof and cleaning gutters. I was very thankful he was able to get to me as promptly as he did.

Ellis was extremely responsive and the job was completed within 24 hours of my initial call. I called and Ellis picked up. I explained the issue to him and he came to my house less than three hours later. He inspected the area and gave me a price quote immediately. He came out the next morning to complete the job and did everything he said he was going to do and also replaced one additional tile on the house without me asking him. Very impressive job and I would definitely hire Ellis again for any roofing repairs.

They did superb. He came through with the amount he specified. Not only did he put on a new roof, he replaced the plywood with radiant barrier and I've been very pleased with the results. I prepaid money to Angies List but was later called by vendor that my type house is not covered under that offer and I would get my money back by Angies List, but I do not think that I ever got that money returned to me

On 4-26-16 you ordered a $199.00 maintenance deal through Angie's List and as you stated your house does not meet the criteria for us being able to perform the work under this price. I came out to your home and I sent you an email offering to give you an estimate for the additional work that needs to be done. On a big deal such as this if the house is a large 2 story steep roof and a fall hazard, I must send 2- 3 men with the proper equipment. I will be happy to give you an estimate to perform the additional work, as I offered before and discount the $199.00 from the money you paid Angie on the work order. That is the only remedy I can offer after a year and a half as the original purchase has expired. Call me at 214-957-1582 and I will make arraignments to get an estimate to you. They bid installing a curb, but then decided it wasn't needed. They didn't perform to the rest of the spec and we settled on a refund. They responded to a call back on another flashing leak but refused this one. They really don;t know wht they are doing.

"First of all we settled this problem and gave this "Gentleman" a refund. The following response is the same as it was the first review he gave us which was a B. Angie's List should not let a customer give us 2 reviews especially when this has been resolved. This whole episode is due to this customer demanding we do a roof installation HIS WAY. We performed the work HE WANTED HIS WAY. Now he is demands we do more work that is going to create more problems and we refuse. We have a great reputation and we are one the best Roofing Companies in The U.S. We have installed thousands of roofs and performed tens of thousands of roof repairs with thousands of very satisfied customers. The photo is of the fan the CUSTOMER PROVIDED, and it is installed the way THE CUSTOMER INSISTED. I told him this fan should be elevated on a curb and I offered to perform this and he refused. He is right and we are wrong, but he's the one with the leak. Yes it is a challenge when a customer wants us to install a roof to their specifications that are contradictory to what we recommend. The crew that installed your roof to your specifications installed over 900 roofs after Hurricane Rita in the [Member Information Removed] area. That same crew did more structural carpentry than you have ever imagined and they are expert at correcting roof structural issues. There is nothing wrong with OSB decking (Oriented Strand Board) and it is becoming better than the old CDX plywood we used to swear by. I use OSB on my own dwellings. Between myself, my partner Joe and the Crew Chief who worked on your garage; we have about 100 years combined experience in the Roofing Construction business. Our combined opinion concerning your roof was: to eliminate the drain in the middle of the garage that you installed previous to our initial visit. Having a roof drain on a small garage is inviting water into your structure, into a pipe that must then be drained out somewhere, either through a drain inside the garage or transit through a wall outside and I tried to tell you to take out the drain and re-slope the roof. I tried to explain this and so did my Crew Chief and you would not take our advice. Keeping a drain in the middle of a small garage that was not originally build this way is like using a sledge hammer to kill a fly. A simple solution (that we all three recommended and you refused before the job) was to change the slope from a dish in the middle that trapped water into a drain which is highly unnecessary, to simply raise the middle of the roof and gently guide the water off the roof. A roofing system should be designed to repel water not trap water as you vehemently fought to do, being convinced that you are more knowledgeable than the very men you hired to solve your troubles. I am not a Chemical Engineer by trade as you are, but if I needed to hire a Chemical Engineer for a job, I certainly would not dictate the particulars of the job specs to them, and then complain that they did not perform the job well enough. We have performed thousands of repairs and re-roofs in all types of conditions and when we can be responsible for the particulars of the work to be performed to solve a problem, we can also take responsibility for the out come and warranties that may occur.
