I came across this electrician on several different forums. I needed an electrician to take a look at the meter box as I thought that I may have some issues with it. The technician from this company came out and quoted me over $15K in various services related to the meter box. He even frightened me by telling me that not only the meter box had to be replaced but my entire electrical system inside the house had to be replaced including the circuit box. Good thing I am not stupid. Whenever people put pressure on me like that, it tells me to get a second opinion. So I did. I actually had two other electricians and an Oncor guy come out to take a look, and ALL three told me, there’s nothing wrong with the meter box. It was just an overhang branch that was rubbing against the wires coming into the house. So I got on a ladder, trimmed a few branches and problem solved! All for less than $150. So I WOULD NOT trust these people. They are SCAMMERS! And on a personal note to the guy that came out, DON’T EVER underestimate us single women who call you because your stupid pressure tactics DIDN’T work!

As a single elderly woman, when things go wrong in your home—especially electrical problems—it is really stressful. You immediately worry about who you can call and, more importantly, who you can truly trust with your home and safety.
I called 5th Generation Electric in Dallas, and from the very first minute, they were genuinely friendly and professional. They were exactly on time, which is so rare these days, and they instantly put me at ease.
The technician was extremely knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue. What impressed me the most was that they did a good job quickly while still taking the time to explain everything in plain language so it was easy for me to follow and understand exactly what work was being done. There was no confusing jargon.
This company is truly trustworthy. I felt completely comfortable leaving my home and safety in their hands. The work was done efficiently, the final result was excellent, and the service was reasonably priced.
I was very pleased with their work and highly recommend 5th Generation Electric to anyone in the Dallas area looking for an electrical contractor. They deliver professional quality service with a wonderful, reassuring approach, and a friendliness beyond reproach.

Would never use this service. Agree trying to be professional but should be reasonable when you charge ! They had a service charge $79 which agreed to pay . After the visit tech told my wife that just re adjusting wires for existing gci point would be $255 again will try to reiterate just recheck the wiring and make adjustment as needed. No new parts no new wiring just checking wiring and readjusting wiring . Never heard of this kind of charges. End of day I wanted just pay that service fee ( of course paid for nothing ) . I would never use them ever again

They installed 2 ceiling fans (rear porch and garage) and replaced ceiling fixtures in the bath. They arrived early and were very professional; did a great job! First time to use them since I moved to the Forney area, but will definitely call them again. Very knowledgeable and friendly guys; the owner and another licensed electrician came to my home.

The electrician was able to come quickly (same day) and was great. He let us know that they outlet did not need to be fixed. He still had to charge us for the trip, but was kind enough to give us a discount.

We couldn't be happier with 5th Gen's service and their tech, Josh. Honest, professional, and fair pricing. You can't ask much more from an electrician. Check to see if your home has a surge protector built in. If not, you should call 5th Gen Electric to have one installed. Tell the owner, Eddie, that I sent you.
